Damon does pretty well for a guy who has so many guitars that he loses count. I was worried that I lost one between Miles' driveway and back yard when we were unloading them.

When I do, I'll let y'all know. But for now, I'm playing the field and am a confirmed polyguitarist. Which may be illegal in your state.

So, who has only one Ovation? I've been playing this guitar at home, on stages, teaching others, and when travelling. I've religiously kept it in a hard case when not being played and it looks almost new, aside from a chip-off on the top of the neck it sustained in 1992, however I superglued it back and it's small and you can't tell. Other than that, it's in mint condition and imminently playable. I've considered other guitars all of these years and practiced on them, but have not found another guitar with a comparable sound. I love this guitar. It's got a deep rich bass, and awesome midrange and highs. The sounds blend together like nothing else.....

Funny thing is ... my wife agrees with your wife! I think "waste" may have been the wrong word ... Part of me is jonsing after a takimine, a prs and another warmoth build, possibly an eliteT, but as a guitar player, jonsing after a guitar is normal.

Joined: March 2006 Posts: 1634 Location: Chehalis, Washington | I only have one acoustic Ovation and one electric currently. Though I have been drooling over the Koalas for the past couple of years...I may finally have to bite the bullet soon... I've had as many as 14 O's and A's at one time before, but have paired down for now to just the Viper and the 12-string until I find the perfect Adamas and perfect 6-string Ovation. Again that Koa is speaking to me... I will be slimming down more when my custom wood-body gets finished at the end of the year, and then it's back to saving up for the next big thing.
