I think you missed subtle suggestion of $750. If not, I'd love it.
Another thought would be an 05 Collector. I can't recall if I've ever played one. I wasn't originally a fan of the contour bowl, but have grown to like it on the LAVKoa.

Mark they had 2 05C's at the Tigard GC for seems like forever at significant discount. I haven't been in there in months so couldn't tell you if they were still around.

Mark - there's an '05 on ebay that comes with the iDea AND the OpPro for $895. If you take out the cost of the iDea ~$300 (which shouldn't count towards the guitar fund IMHO), then you've got the '05 for $595.

Can't beat that!

You and I think alike, Mike, except that there is a fraction of a chance that SWMBO already got me the iDea preamp for Christmas.
David, I usually go to GC when we're over there for Thanksgiving, but I got stranded without wheels, trying to fix my parents' front door. I ended up breaking it beyond repair and had to buy them a new one. Going to GC would have been much better and probably cheaper.

nosajwp, that's actually why I've never mentioned the GC ones until now.. my apologies, thought I'd seen you post that you were keeping it.

Unfortunately Nosa, the market seems to be a little depressed for these right now.. there are now three active listings on Ebay, all over $800 with no bids.

Surprisingly (or not) the ones who are buying are the ones who keep saying they either have no money or they are not buying anything right now.

Too many good choices, although nobody has offered a 97 Collector's yet. . .dweezil? I'll try to decide this weekend, before "my" guitar fund gets further commingled into "our" fund, if it's not too late already.

I saw that a couple hours ago, when I checked ebay one last time before I made up my mind about the others. As usual, too many good choices out there and not enough money.

That's an FRG but still a good deal for $850. Probably won't last long.

Too late. I got the RI K1111 at a surprisingly low price. Maybe in time for Christmas. Thanks to all you enablers. I will do my best to reciprocate. I've found out I like buying a whole lot more than I like selling, so I'll think really hard before I sell another one.

Thanks for the congrats and thanks for all the help. If any of those great suggestions are still available the next time I'm in the market, I'll be back in touch. I hope it isn't when I sell my next guitar. I only do that about an average of once every 10 years.
