Woody,

I have a '98 DR-20 with the unfortunate finish 'bubble' up by the neck base. But I just can't let go of it. It has 'guts'!

Although Jim and Mike keep putting Martins in my lap, the Tacoma runs right up there with da 'M's.

See ya'll, I do own other gits besides 'O's and 'A's. In fact, I actually have an '85 F-400S Tak that's a keeper also :p

Nice of you Iffy!!

Canterbury, maybe you can hug them in person next summer.

Enjoy!

OK, everyone look at the OTHER guitars here for sale. Jimbo is the best to buy from, I know because I have bought two of his "never will be sold" gits from him. :D

Fletcher, you just have to keep checking here SEVERAL times a day, and then get lucky. I wanted to snap up that parlor, but I needed to make a sale first. Wound up selling a couple of nice ones yesterday that would've enabled me to buy it, but they came in too late.

Doubt my boss would understand my knocking off work several times a day to check an internet forum. Guess I'll just have to rely on luck.

Congrats on getting the parlor after all.

I had the 12 string version of that Alvarez jumbo. I added the internal mic, and then blended the sound between that and the undersaddle. It sounded pretty damned good. The construction was solid, and it had a great sound. Once I got ahold of Woody's Custom Elite I had no use for it anymore though.

Good luck on the sale Jimbo. It's really a nice instrument for the $.

Thanks Damon, I may be selling the Alvarez 12 also as I now have TWO 1758 12 strings in white pearl....

BTW guys, the parlor is on the way to Allison, and Karen is looking at the Alvarez or the Patriot. You MEN need to step up and buy something! :D

If my 1756 had sold, I would buy that Alvarez from you. It's hard to step up and buy with no money, although that is part of the American way.

Well, I've got a guy local interested in the Tacoma, but his mother in law just passed, and he is dealing with that at the moment. Karen is considering either the Alvarez or the Patriot, so I guess it 's all up in the air till I get a commitment.

Awesome, Woody. Mine's a '54 but has a '55 grill. '54 grill is butt ugly. What drivetrain does it have?

This is mine. It now has a drivetrain in it. The tires and wheels have to go.

That's the truck when it arrived from Alabama. The top had already been chopped and the rain gutters shaved. The person that did it did a great job. I haven't seen many chopped '53-'56 Effies that I've liked. This is the best that I've personally seen.

Sorry to break in to the truck section here, but it looks like the parlor and the Patriot are spoken for. That lovely Tacoma is still looking for a home along with the Alvarez.

Forgot to mention, I'm open to interesting trades also. Wide necks preferable.

Well, as for now the Tacoma is staying. The two Alvarez's are still up for sale with one time reduced price. 950.00 shipped for both, or will part them at 450.00 shipped for the 6 string and 500.00 shipped for the 12. These are really great sounding wood boxes with the maple bringing in the bright high end and the jumbo body reinforcing the lower tones. Anyone wanting to try out a wood box can't go wrong with either one of these. The 12 plays and sounds much like a Guild for a fraction of the price.

BTW, the next one to go up may be my Martin 00-18V...
