First of all let me say how nice everyone here is, I appreciate the help and interest.

After much soul searching, nostalgic trips down memory lane and just plain ole research I have finally reached a selling price that I believe is fair.

The price is $1,800 plus shipping at cost.

If any additional photos or info is needed please let me know.

Good luck with your sale. Pretty rare guitar in great shape. You just might get lucky in a hurry.

That's one lovely guitar, I presume it has the same mojo as the 1537. If so WOW!

Dweezil, I have owned both and I thought the 1547 had more mojo than the 1537. Excellent guitar and imho the best woodtop cutaway that Ovation made (along with the '87C in sunburst!)

Wow! That's my dream wood-topped Elite, but that's way out of my price range. Good Luck.

I put new strings on today and I had almost forgotten how good this guitar sounds. The aged wood top really adds a richness that can only happen naturally and in my opinion can't be reproduced by craftsmanship.
In electric mode the sound through the amplifier is pure and clean.
Would really like to see this fine guitar go to someone who will cherish it as I have over the years.
Don't be bashful, let's talk turkey! I don't really want to list it on sickbay.

If you are referring to the one you stole, I mean bought, yes.

yes, that's the one, how much was it?
It was less than it should have gone for.
If you remember tell the number. I'm thinking 1200 but it might have been less.

I sold mine about 3-4 years ago for somewhere between 1200-1500....can't remember but it was one sweet guitar.

Even in tough times this is a rare one and would be a good grab for someone with the bucks.

Yeah, I was going to do that but never got around to it. Still got the neck, still got the guitar, just spend too much time playing the SJ.

Beal, if I remember right, I think yours sold for about $600+ change. I can remember wishing I would have bid on it.

I was definitely drooling over it. I was going to bid on it but I didn't want drive up the price if Beal was willing to go higher than me, which he was, so I didn't bid. What a steal.

Had a sale but unfortunately fell through so I am lowering the price to $1,600 plus shipping.

Alsoo I have late 70's Japanese Takamine f400 12 string that is in like new condition. Same story, bought it new and haven't played it much. I am selling it for $500 plus shipping if you know anyone interested.

I find it amazing that there are TWO 1547's listed for sale at the same time. I can only recall 2 1547's in play over the last 3 to 4 years total. I wish I had some extra change.

Blues
(actually I do, but I'm still a bit short)

Yeah, like my wife. The number of girls I could have hooked up with (emphesis on COULD) in the first 6 months after I got married was staggering. Where the hell are they now that I need them ???
