Mr. MWoodman,

You know, if you study geology, you'll end up with rocks in your head. Thereby making your mother's childhood analysis about a young lad's cranial content more or less correct.

Either that or you'll need glasses, or was that something else...

Maybe you should all come down to Nampa, Idaho June 24 for the first Loggins and Messina concert. Or their second one in the Gorge. Unfortunately, I may not be in this part of the country for either of those.

OK, The Gorge at George venue is relatively close to the Columbia river- 300 yards west & 300 yards DOWN! There is camping in Vantage, but not much for motels or fancy civilization. The view is spectacular, though. June 25- doesn't give us much time.

Now that we have had almost a year to think about it, who would be up for a get together in May? I would be willing to travel anywhere in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho. In the past, looks like central or western Oregon was most convenient.

As we get into summer, I'm still willing to host at the cabin in McCall. One block from Ponderosa State Park, a couple blocks from the lake and golf course. Motorboat, catamaran and canoe also available.

Ahhh...had a great time on vaca all last week but it's always nice to come back home and see that, outside of my home pc blowing up the minute I turned it on to check in on my OFC buds, nothing's changed...you were all missed. At least now I know why it blew up - thanks, Cliff.

Mark, it snowed several hours in Moscow yesterday. How many in-ft did you get in McCall? What date do you figure would be safe?

Usually by August we have a couple good weeks. McCall has received mixed snow and rain the last couple of weeks. We were up there the end of March and there was still 4 feet on the ground and about 6 feet on our deck. It may take till August to get it shovelled off the deck. I'll go up next weekend and start.

You've disappeared into thin air again, Jeff. If you can get to the McCall airport, we can get you from there to the cabin. How many Ovations can you put in that plane?

Let's see...useful load 1100 lbs, less 300 fuel, and 300 for pilot, wife and luggage.... that leaves about a quarter of a ton worth of O's/A's less a little for the density altitude. Probably more weight than would actually fit.

Hermiston Waskel (still).

As for "Cherokee Flyer"....well, it 1963 it was probably a compliment to have an airplane named after you (as was Apachee, Comanchee, Aztec...etc)

Your choice of Polish sausage or brats and beer. It's what you get from a Pollack born in Milwaukee.

Yeah...messing with your head Waskel. Since was wsn't flying a Cardinal any more, and since I have spent the last month of ownership pumping copious amounts of money into the Cherokee (i.e. might kick it out of the hanger), I figured I better go generic. Gee....How many Ovations/Adamii will the money from an airplane buy???? :D

Enough to trigger a divorce?
............................................

I've been avoiding this thread, much as I'd like to attend something of the sort.

Timing would be everything (doh! really?) and I can't get my wife to cross the border, so I'd be coming alone. (You may not want that, she's the civilizing influence! )

If it's happening, I'd try and make it.
