I can't play nice Mike. In fact I can hardly play, period. I couldn't play at all for six weeks. I've been fighting this miserable tendonitis in my left elbow for going on four months now. Gripping with my elbow bent makes it much worse. I can play for a half hour or so now so it's getting better. Ultrasound & anti-inflammatory drugs didn't fix it completely so now I'm trying DMSO. So far I think it's helping but it's only been four or five days. Riding my bike is bad too. Squeezing the clutch is worse than playing a guitar. Dammy.

I'd love to be on that list. I could pass it to Samova, or anyone in the Atlanta area (or ship it). Sam, it might be fun to meet up at Midtown Music to hand it off. They would appreciate it.

The Wooden roundback departs tomorrow for Brad in Michigan.

It should then move on to Mr Terry in Colorado. Then to Woody and friends in the great NW and then on to Designzilla.

From there on I ask that folks only send it to people you trust to keep the guitar safe and moving in the spirit intented.

Also, please, post on the thread where it is and where it's going.

Always ship with a tracking ID and insure for $400.00.

Enjoy Brad

I'd like to take it with me on 6 planes across several international borders to the jungles of Africa.

It might come in handy if I get stranded on Lake Victoria.

Two questions - is that what the kids are calling it these days and are pictures REALLY necessary?

Jeff, its not about holding a candle to anything.I would enjoy seeing the wooden roundback guitar.Am really interested in how it sounds and how the hell they rounded the wood..As you may know i am having a wood back adamas style guitar being built.Mine however is traditional back and sides.Check out the thread "ever wonde what if"...

Sam,
I have been keeping close tabs on the progress of your box back "A" and Brian's enslavement...I can't wait to see it finished and hear the sound review.

The wooden roundback is a nicely built guitar and the back is amazingly well done...but as I said before it ain't gonna win any sound awards...

Jeff, i hope your guitar makes a tour thru atlanta. There are quite a few ovation guys here who can gather and play the guitar.I was just thinking that there have been at least 5 slothead adamas guitars that have lived in Georgia that we know of...that must be close to a record ?? There were four at my house alone at one time.I had three(31,33,57) and Kip Attaway brought his over(#60) traveling thru ga. during a tour.Should have took a pic..

Maybe Designzilla can forward off to the Georgia contingent and a little of that slothead juju will rub off on it....

I'd be pleased and proud to send it up north to Georgia after the florida visit.

Sam, let's do that. If and when I get it, I'll call and we can set it up. I actually drove very near your house the other day. Having been there only the one time to pick up the Deacon, I'd love to get back. Now that I've been an OFCer for a while, I've got a better appreciation for some of your wall decorations.

Maybe the timing will be right and Woody will get it around Nov 12 - then I can get a look at it when I meet him and Mr. Golf at CMS in Redmond.

...and no, Dizzy. It's just a big lake in Africa.

...hmmm. Ya know, Jeff, there is this guy who floats down the Nile on a five gallon plastic bucket for a few shillings. Maybe I could get him to...

I got him on video last time. Absolutely nuts, riding the rapids at Bujagali Falls holding onto a white 5 gallon bucket.
Hard to capture, he kept disappearing under the water and popping up downstream.

The Wooden Roundback has departed to points west.

Brad, she should be off the truck on Wednesday to you. I will send tracking info via email or PM.

I wanted to enclose a disposable camera, but it was sent directly from the Luthier, so it went sans camera.

Bon Voyage!

A camera....what a great idea.

Brad, maybe you can get a disposable 36, take a few pics, I will take a few pics...and so on and so on..

Then when Jeff gets it back, he can develop it and surprise us all with whats on the camera by posting in the opics/

I'd be glad to throw a disposable camera in with the guitar. But I plan on posting some pics right away.
