Yeah, Stephen. It is a handmade, though not custom, guitar by the Tak luthier. It is actually called a "Hirade." It was in the standard range of handmade models offered by Tak.

It's nearly midnight Monday night. I'm in Richmond on business. I getta call from, Ed, the feller I bought this guitar from. He's driving through Richmond tonight from UpState Nyawk on his way to N.C. He wants to Hand-deliver it to me....

I have to be up waaaaay early tomorrow morning...He's an hour away yet......

Tomorrow's gonna be a bear.

VeryNice, Master Jeffrey!!
GoodGet!

Lately, I've been playing aLOT on an old TakClassical loaner. I've never really played much on a nylon string, but I believe I'm starting to develop a real penchant for it (but then again, it COULD just be that I'm getting all these new, cool "guitar-sounding" noises that I wasn't getting on my steel strings) . . ..

Well....the handoff occured at a little after 2am. This guy Ed is a total nut case (in a good way)...

Worked at Gibson for years as an engineer, back in the ol' days...

suffice to say...If I slept at all before my 5am wakeup call, I don't remember it...

I got home an hour ago...my ass just arrived

This is a really....really...really nice instrument. Now....What's fingerstyle??

Forget it. I tried it. You have to use more than one finger at a time.

Really...! I always thought the other fingers were for when you got really mad and one wouldn't do the trick.

The things you learn here...

Remind me to show you guys the guy with the longest finger in the world. A great joke but a visual so it doesn't carry over well in an email. Told it in the third grade and it even made the teacher laugh so I've been using it ever since.
