I used to be that Linguists declared the western sound to be "accent free" but over the last few years there has been a definable straining in the speech of Western Worshintonian's. Kind of a "Bill Clintonesque" scratch proliferated by soccer mom's across the NW. Wether or not it is related to Starbucks Coffee consumption remains to be seen.

You'd think they'd cover that when they are prepping new newscasters! Or maybe they always slip it into their first TV appearances as a bit of a "right of passage." Jeff, the $5 coffee is to finance our secret plot to secede from the Union. shhh.. don't tell, but please keep buying the coffee. Portland aka PDX aka Rose City aka PuddleTown aka StumpTown aka "Little Beirut" gh1, do you play publicly at all, or just a hobbyist?

"The City That Works". Sounds like I'll use a guitar lots more than I'll use the golf clubs. I have a friend in "Skwim". I had trouble finding it on the map. He was from Boise, via Iowa. License plate, "Hawkeye."

Better bring your clubs... Not a good weekend for me to plan anything, Mark. Sorry, yet again. I thought Hawkeye came from Crabtree Cove, Maine?

Every couple of years i'd get on a 6 month kick -- get frustrated with lack of development -- quit. Repeat. Three years ago i say's to self, "self you're getting kind of old. Do you want to be able to play that thing before you die?" To which i answered, "yes". So i interveiwed with a number of teachers, picked one and have stuck with him. Great thing about teachers; 1)they teach (DOH!) 2)they engender accountability. So i have been playing about, oh, 6 to 15 hours a week (depending on my schedule) for the last three years or so. _____ gh1
