Yup, the Acoustasonical JR. is excellant! But when I run my Morley A/B into it I get the heart attack pop so I have been hitting the off switch and changing.

I thought Morley's weren't supposed to do that!

Andrew - Get an acoustasonic and use it for everything! Best choice in our price range.

Easy for you to say! I don't have a whole room to hide new acquisitions in, and imagine me trying to justify another guitar amp to Amy (or is that perilously humorous situation what you are hoping to create? ).

Boy! Lots of great ideas.

Right now I'm leaning towards the A/B type pedel.

The reason is that I might be able to use it in other applications.

One reason I'm not looking at another amp is I'm to lazy to cart it to church every other Sunday.

I probably won't get anyting for a few days so keep those cards and letters coming. :D

My solution was simple...go wireless. I have an A/T body pack and so can plug in to which ever guitar I am needing at the moment, the 1777, the 1866 (tahnks John!) or the AS-73, unmute the pack and go! And I NEVER have to worry about tripping over the cord!

I added a BOSS chorus pedal at the reciever in the sound booth, and it everything sounds great direct into the house system, and I STILL have no cables or pop issues.

Now when playing a gig OUTSIDE of the Church...my fender passport system is great, but pops BAD if I try to unplug, so my answer has been a volume pedal...

Hey Dad....

Have you thought of talking to the sound tech and asking him to mute your channel when you're done playing?

If you feel you must unplug, the A/B switch is the best route. I'm not a fan of adding things in-line, so my suggestion is get a battery budget. 99 cents every 2 or three weeks I'm sure can be had. Before anyone jumps on me for "paying only 99 cents for a 9-volt".... I feel if I'm going to throw out a battery after every gig or so... it's going to be a cheap one. I've never had even a cheapo battery die in one or two gigs and that was years ago before batteries actually got pretty decent.

Hey Jack,

Sometimes He forgets and I wind up waking everyone who might be dozing off.

BTW; Hows the guitar playing coming along?

Now you'll have to confess before all these excellent guitar players. :D

Mr Ovation With some of my older guitars the battery compartment can only be reached by loosening the strings. I do have a Celebrity with the OP20 can. With it changing batteries is not a problem. I'm leaning towards the A/B switch.

Any suggestions on brands? I have looked at BOSS.

I agree a cheapo battery,(Doller Store will work with an accesssable compartment.

You can get Panasonic 9 volt alkalines for $2 at the Dollar Store, or Dollar General and the like. They're good batteries, freshly dated and last a long time. As they say, why pay more?

Ok some of you may or may not know of me, but I like to mike my guitars, so I can just shut off the mike itself.Hence no POP! This works well, unless your praise band has a huge Ted Nugent sound.

I am going to see Todd Agnew this May 5th. Maybe not Terible Ted but I'm expecting some power chords will be present!

Grab a little Third Day this Summer!

I would one day like to play in a setup that requires rigging the speakers into place!!

Not neccessarily all it's cracked up to be.

An acoustic trio I was in in the '70s built a huge rig on two scaffold towers in a park once. People heard us at the ice arena a mile and a half away from the beach where we were.

Unfortunatly the slapback from the brick front buildings 2 blocks away threw us off through most of the first set. More power brings more problems.

I have never fried my lips playing accoustic while sitting on a log by a campfire.

I'd have to check with Mom, but I'd say that this is another ploy to buy MORE guitar equipment......

I think that it's less about the "air" and more about the "derrierre..."

Seriously, though, GGG, let us know what you end up getting to fix this problem (remember where this thread started?). We've all got nothing better to do anyway than sit here for hours on our heinies making a bunch of lame ass-anine jokes at someone else's expense.
