Yep. It's so bad I'm watching a taped episode of "Greg The Bunny" I don't know which is worst, the fact I'm watching it or the fact I recorded it in the first place. But on the bright side, King Of The Hill is on later!

Not allowed to drink spirits. Got any beer?

Benny Hill was sadder and wierder than any of the sad wiredos he played in his shows.

(And if you're gonna take cliff's advice you'd better take Mark's phone number)

Actually this is the only time I've regretted not having cable. Tonight is the UK premier of the Simpson's episode written by and starring Ricky Gervais.

And what is the deal with Benny Hill in the US? He's absolutely vilified over here as the sad obnoxious misogynist he was.

I rgret it every time there's a Premiership game on, but I will not put a penny in that bastard Murdoch's pocket. Freeview's pretty good these days.

NTL can't get their heads around the fact that I had the cable put in just for the computer - they think I've found a way of getting the TV without paying.

We'll keep you in beer at the tour, Chancellor. And I don't want details on Benny - I always thought he was hysterical and most of those guys have dark sides (Charlie Chaplin was surely no different) and I'd prefer remain clueless (my typical MO).

Paul, I have relatives that live in Texas and they look and act just like the players on King of the Hill.

They did a spot on job with that cartoon.

Sally, we need to hook up so you can play a few guitars. I live by C470 and Wadsworth, so about 20 miles from you.

There is also the mutual meeting place of Park Meadows but you might feel self-conscious playing a few tunes in the parking lot!

Stephen, I'm a big Mike Judge fan (yes, even Beavis & Butthead) Last time I was in Austin I made a point of going to Ray Hennigs guitar store just to see if he was anything like the character in the series. Needless to say, he was.

Welcome, Sally. I have the "standard" version of one of your guitars, the ME1598 12-string, and a close cousin of the other, a 1771LX Standard Balladeer. You should love both of them. The ME 12-string sounds positively angellic.....

Yes, your left-hand nails are going to need to be a LOT shorter!!!! (laughing)

Ok, Steve and Elgin....

Make a date and let me know...

I'm thinking we could maybe shake up some coffee shop somewhere.

There is one coffee shop at the Castle Pines exit that I know of who would probably go for it...

and then that place in Denver at 6th & Washington...

and I know another one out in Parker... but I'm guessing that's out of you guys' passport zones, eh?

You guys know any place around? What about in old Morrison? Anything there? I'd be game to go up there.

We self employed nutjobs can flex around most times... but I try to work Friday and Saturday nights.

You guys "pick" it. :)

Sally, great idea but if you have been following some of the other threads, you would know that I damaged my ulner nerve back in January and it has caused temporary numbness to my left hand, rendering me almost useless from a guitar playing standpoint. Doctor's say that it will clear itself up in 2 weeks to 1 years. It is going on 4 months now and I must say that it really really sucks!

However, I am game to show up and lend support and let you play the 1537 or any other guitar you might want to try out.

Sally: That place at 6th and Washington in Denver is Brothers BBQ. Across the street is some little funky coffee shop. I live only about six blocks away, and between Stephen and I, we could field an entire orchestra of guitars. He could also record the orchestra about six different ways, and I could light up the place. Check out the gallery.

Yep... the place I was referring to was Pablo's Coffee - and that is across the street from Brothers BBQ. (My friend owns Angelo's Pizza... I'm thinking of heading up there tonight)

I've only spent a little time in that coffee shop - (sometimes kill an hour or so before Angelo's dies down so I can see my friend when it's not busy in there)... but every time I've been in there, in feels like a library.

Maybe it's just been the times I've gone... but I wouldn't feel good about showing up with a few guitars unless we called first or could sit outside and look like a bunch of homeless guitar players. :)

And yeah... I'd love to see that guitar of yours, Tom!!! (let me get these nails chopped off in the next couple of days and I'll be good to go!)

Sorry to hear about the ulnar nerve thing - I guess I missed that conversation.

So do you guys do a normal job thing 9-5 ?

Personally, I like to tromp through there on Tuesdays - I go to a warehouse up in Broomfield and I like to see my friend at Angelo's on the way home (she almost always works Tues).

They got great pizza and pasta... and she gives me a good hookup there... :)

Sally

I'm flexible and at this point would be a good participant to tell you guys how wonderful you are and how good you sound (or just buy the round of coffee!)

Sounds like it is Sally's call as to when and where.
