I'm like you, an4340.

I think the pearl white is awesome looking.

Ever wonder why people think a "white" acoustic looks gay but a "white" electric looks awesome?

Here are a couple of my favorite electrics!

I had a nice white Ovation for a while but sold it, not because of the color, but because it was a SSB and did nothing for me sound wise..

OH YEAH.....I did sell it to a girl!!!!!! :D ;)

Thanks HoHo....just trying to drag the thread back on topic. Gets a little slippery with all the mud.

Wish I had the ability to play as nice as some of the instruments I am fortunate enough to own.

Also wish my damn left hand would heal up so I could play, period!!!!

(Musters up a little courage) I think there's a lot of sexism and homophobia in the world of music. Since the guitar is played by a queer woman, that's a bit of a double whammy. A lot of the acoustic-guitarist image is about being a manly master of your craft - associations with women and homosexuality don't help that much at all.

That being said, I think it's the pearloid rosette that tips this particular guitar over the scale. It takes the white guitar, which clearly can be pulled off, and adds a feminine decoration to it.

But for all my ranting, I wouldn't play one either. :D

Jacob, to be a bit more PC you might want to edit that to "gay" or "lesbian" woman.

The "Q" word might be offensive for many.

Just my opinion.

Jacob is correct. This same guitar with a black or wooden epaulet would look much better in my opinion. That tin foil looking thing probably does turn some people off. And turn others on. To each their own. Dave

It's a love it or leave it thing.

I'd still prefer it over most any acoustic with a pickguard!

As for using the correct words - I find people's tolerance and fear factor totally absurd. I'll spare the soapbox for this forum but if your interested you can see my posts at
www.youaregoingtoburninhell.com

I use the name Tupperw... well, you'll see.

I'd hate to see the cookies on your PC...

Just the John Tesh of their day. I don't know more than the album covers of either act. But I guess it does indicate 'a certain age.'

guitarwannabee,
They are both Warrior guitars which for my money are the best electrics I have ever played....period.

The top one is a signature series. The one that I personally own is a spalted maple with 200 year old wood.

It is customised with a RMC piezo system and a built in midi controller and wired for stereo.

That white signature is still currently (I think) available at my local shop for a significant discount.

The bottom one is my '55 vintage throwback. I always wanted the Strat-Tele sound but was not a fan of the Fender necks. This guitar does it all....both sounds plus a neck I love.

Only the fact that Jimi played a white guitar stops me from launching into what I really think about white guitars.

White acoustic guitars are like '72 Dodge Chargers with a Prius motor; Moody with a pink purse; cliff singing John Denver.
