Congrats to Cliff, and the N.E. Group, scheduled to meet (I think) on Sept.16. In about a month they have managed to put together what looks to be an awesome gathering. GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!

Once again, interested persons for S.E. Gathering, e-mail me:

philmax@bellsouth.net

Please include phone#, location, OFC handle, and a good time to call. Thanx, Phil :)

btw, Thanx to those who have already contacted me.

At this point, Sat.14,Oct. is the generally agreed date, in the Atlanta area, to coincide with the arrival of our esteemed brother, from Texas, GregoryS.

Questions, comments, suggestions?

Here's the deal on Stone Mtn: Pavillion rental $400 w/o power; picnic area hassel (because of noise ordinance); camp sites are reserved a year in advance.

I'll keep an eye on this. Oct 14th may be possible for me if I can route myself thgough Atlanta on the way to somewhere. I do ocasionally fly Delta, so I'll look into it.

So it looks like Stone Mountain is priced out. Got a plan 'B'? The 14th is coming up fast! What is the tentative head count?

Good news. The Wooden Roundback should be in my hands this week, so she'll be there. And she doesn't eat much.

Thanks to philmax for heading this up. How about posting a list of attendees.

And I am volunteering to be the clearing house for tabs. If you have a song that you want to play, and think others might want to play along, send me the lyrics/chords and I'll compile the OFC SE Songbook. 2 or 3 from each person. Send them to me in Word, PDF, text, html, a link to a tab page... pretty much anything, mac or pc, except Publisher, and I'll put it all in one PDF and make it available in advance.

You can email to me at captain@captainlovehandles.com

Not yet. My guess is that Zilla has been too busy to send it (for the last 3.5 months). I suppose it will be here soon.

I'm gonna be optimistic and say it's just a losing battle, say, with Cuervo...it'll come back and win the war...

...or maybe not...

Have no fear, I am still looking into location options, but if all else fails, my humble abode is available, which will probably be as good a place as any.

Of coarse everyone is welcome, even the naysayers (they can kiss my 1778LX, too). :p

Great Guitars, Great food, Great People
DON'T MISS IT, BE THERE!!! Oct. 14.

Anyone who may have questions concerning logistics email me: philmax@bellsouth.net.

Hey Bill, can you bring a signed copy of the 1984 Collector poster :D

Went to my uncle's funeral last night,It was great to see all the people you never see till someone dies. Visiting with friends and relatives kept me busy most of the week. I did take a couple of hrs off to drive to Alabama to purchase a beautiful 1537.

Purchasing an Ovation ranks right up there with weddings and funerals. It is funny how a death can bring people together, you hear so many remarks about "why didn't we do it when so&so was alive?". Everything you had planned stops and you change your plans to pay respects and see people you might never see again.

We have 2 weeks till the 14th, lets keep this thread up top and try to pull off a good gathering. As for myself I'm planning on living till I get a chance to play the wooden roundback!

Once again all the Yeas chime in!
