Glad I joined a year before the wabbit.

Doesn't make me feel nearly as bad about having nothing to say but posting anyway.

Exactly! And HE seems so normal, right? Unlike some around here, I'm not naming names or anything...

It's amazing that so many people took the opportunity of this thread to boost their post count while saying absolutely nothing.

And to think, that back in the early days we did it by discussing Ovation guitars......

I think Standingovation said it best:

"After 5000 posts anything of value that I've got to offer has already been delivered."

(insert Richard Nixon voice here) GOODNIGHT NOW.

I just noticed I joined only a month after Waskel and he's 1400 ahead of me. I guess I'm not obsessed after all. While he was posting all those times, I was buying Ovations. Perfectly normal by comparison. He even recorded a CD. I can't even get my tape recorder to work.

Waskel is a Data-Shepherd and sits on top of the Network by day. When I don't have a Field assignment going (%10 of the time) I am at the PC in Cubicleville.

You gotta have an out!

The scary part is that 97% of my day is spent AWAY from the computer - and I still average over 100 posts a month. Either I have a lot to say and very little time to do it in, or WAY too much of my free time is spent in front of the computer screen...

To make matters worse, when we moved back in June, we got a brand-new Dell with a 21" HD monitor and DSL, so I get to immerse myself in HiDefOvationLand twenty times faster...

No kidding...though I only have one mouse. :D

Actually, when the site is slow, I just open a fifth or sixth window and keep going. Nice things you can do with a P4HT 3.2!

Where did Standingovation's name go? He should be #7.

This will be my 1200 post. Just trying to stay ahead of Tupperware for a little while longer. :D

Admin rebuilt the index. He needs to post again or remain an undocumented legend.

In Standingovation's home town of Fleenix (it's about time he got there ...) there are plenty of un-documented workers. But un-documented legends? I doubt it.

I personally think it's fitting that such a prodigenous poster of rebel rousing psycho babble doesn't even show up on the list. Just rewards is what I call it ...

Ooohhh, 5003. What an incomplete number. Hardly remarkable. The dream is over.

Yeah poor SO. He wanted to freeze it at 5000. But he had to respond to a few a-holes trying to stomp on his legacy and it blew him a few posts over. He even tried deleting a few old ones to being the total back to 5k, but it doesn't work that way. Once your tally goes up, it does not come back down even if you delete your posts ...

SO, what that means is that we can all post all kinds of meaningless crap and blow up our totals and then just delete it and bingo, you've padded your count.

Try this, start a new topic. Respond to the topic with 10 posts (you'll have to wait 30 seconds to avoid the flood control). Then go back to the first post in the thread, delete it and all 10 posts go away, BUT you've blown up your count by 10. Do this once an hour, every day for a year ...

...and you'll either go blind, or end up with 5003 posts.
