Joined: March 2002 Posts: 15682 Location: SoCal | Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed Matt's clinic last night. Knowing only three chords and bringing just an old guitar that I had sitting around, I was a bit worried that it would be too advanced for my meager playing. There was something there for everybody! Matt's handouts were great and his instruction was easy to follow. I've got enough material to keep me going for a long time. And Matt's serious about answering playing questions on line. I highly recommend attending one of his clinics when you can. I'd drive down to San Diego to attend the clinic this afternoon, but I've got family commitments. Also met two Kaman Music guys, Joe Montoya and Bob Jespersen. Very very nice guys. They even made nice sounds regarding the beat up old guitar that I brought. It's good to meet more people from Kaman who obviously care about their product and the people that play the product. Lastly, always good to see fellow OFC'ers there (yes, even Al).

Matt is excellent at teaching diificult concepts in a way that is easy to understand. His talent and personability are a blessing to Kaman Music and the OFC. Joe Montoya was a wealth of information and is truly a gentleman, and a great representative for Kaman. And on top of that, my wife, who has complaining that my 12 strings are too hard to play and learn chords on, won a beautiful 6 string. We had a very nice and memorable evening.

As previously said, nice to meet enthusiastic Kaman staff - enthusiastic about the product, Matt's work, and the OFC. On Friday, Robert (Bob) Jespersen (Nat'l Call Center Director for Kaman) and Joe Montoya (District Sales Manager for Kaman.) Saturday we had Joe. Each day, Joe specifically recognized the OFC to the group and was very supportive...heck, we all went to dinner afterward and Kaman paid!! Were able to recognize the two birthday boys (Al and Dan) with Happy Birthday and a birthday sundae. Got a feeling we will be working closely with Joe. Today, was another of Matt's best. Well received. Although Michael had to coach a soccer match in the afternoon, he was able to join us at the Godfather's for excellent Italian cuisine. Rudy Montes and his wonderful granddaughter joined us for Matt's session and dinner. Both Sound of Music in Temecula and the GuitarTrader in San Diego were appreciative of the OFC support. Pictures to follow... ![]()
