Wow, looks like the solidbodies may dominate this one.

Maybe I'd better bring some amps.

You're welcome to stop by and wipe the bugs off if you pass through here on the way back, pussyWabbit.

Ok, I'll say it for all the NON-BIkers here.. THAT'S JUST BS!!! Even if you ride a Harley, preparation for a long trip involves checking to make sure you have gas in the tank, air in the tires, and depending on the bike and oil, checking the oil. 15 minutes?? 30 if you have to change the oil??.. BUSTED!!!!

No seriously, Jellystone and Glacier sound like a fun trip. Of course we have wild animals, camping and a glacier here too... Not to mention mountain Vista's and the Ocean, we just don't call it "parks." Here, it's just our back yards... but you have fun on your little trip :)

Invitation withdrawn. I can only deal with about one over the hill reliving my youth dressed all in leather motorcyclist at a time. It might not be safe for your group if my daughter who works for PITA found out we were going to have that much leather in our house at one time.

I don't see how. ;)
To each his own. When I embark on a 2000+ mile trip, I tend to give it a good going over first. Especially when my wife is going along.

I'm sure I will have fun. But if I can still make it up there over the 4th as well, I'll have even more!

...and if it's a Harley you have to factor in a run to the store for an extra case of oil... you know, for the road.

He called me a wuss. He's on his own. Besides there's only one shower at the cabin and I bet those 20 bikers will need showers really badly.
Now I have this vision of a bunch of old bikers jumping in the lake. This is not good.

I've been looking at bikes lately. Don't want a new one though. I'd rather have an old classic, something I'll have to fix all the time! :D

I've been lusting after an old, but restored, BSA Lightning.

Yes. And they were in better shape than most bikers I've seen. Loved the movie.

Remind me to tell you about my first really nice road bike. It was a 1967 BSA Thunderbolt I bought in 1969. Never had a bit of trouble with it, except getting kicked out of every NP in California for having loud pipes.

Sounds like fun.

I have to say by biggest reason for the Lightning infatuation is that it's what Hunter S Thompson was riding when he rode with the Angels.

If y'all haven't read it, it's a good read. "Hell's Angels" is one of my all time favorite books. Especially at the end of the last chapter where he describes taking the BSA out on to the coast highway and pushing it to "The Edge", and how nobody knows where "The Edge" is, except for those who went over it.

RIP HST

Just for the newbies and lurkers...

....this is NOT an internet Motorcycle Club running under a guitar banner to avoid scrutiny. I don't ride. Never have. (except for a couple months in Europe when I bought the Peugot 101 to avoid hitch-hiking in France. But that was a moped.)

There are a couple people who are motorcycle enthusiasts, but the one's I've met are NOT 1%ers.
They just seems to stand out sometimes.....

(I'm hoping the newbie Ian Mc chimes in and trys to make it to Miles' gathering)

I've always lusted for either an old BSA or Triumph myself. SomeDay. Not in Jersey. Too many assholes around . . .

People always tell me that I "look" like I should own a Harley (the sames asswipes that say I "look" like I should be "into" the GratefulDead).
I hate narrow-minded people and their stereotypes . . .

"WildHogs" was shite.

I recently had a vintage Triumph Trophy TR6C. It ran great, but you couldn't go anywhere without reeking of the smell of gasoline. It was about the same size and weight of the BSA Thunderbolt, but nowadays, after riding much bigger Harleys and BMWs for 20 years, the vintage 650 Triumphs and BSAs are diminutive. Unless you're into tinkering, do yourself a favor and buy something more modern, even if it has the retro look. The new vintage looking Triumphs are terrific.

People hear my Polish name and assume I'm stupid and then when they find out I'm a lawyer they assume I'm stupid, greedy and dishonest. I hate all those narrow minded people and their stereotypes, too. Seems to be an overabundance.
I loved Wild Hogs.

THIS JUST IN!!!!

The Wailers will be performing at this years Vancouver Island Music Fest.

It's the weekend after the gathering at Lisa & Miles' place, so perfect for that 10 day summer holiday. Can you say "Road Trip?"

So concerts and motorcycles aside.

Anyone want to chime in on what guitars they're bringing?

That's because you're Polish.
