I'm bringing my Tak.
A couple of longnecks too and maybe the 84 if there's room.
The D-18 and new Collings CJ are staying home.

is anyone bringing any Taylors and Martins for building the campfire?
Naw, only a bunch of clebs and such for kindling; I have some pieces left from the Trebuchet at the last tour...lol

Seriously! Bring the good stuff if you want...if it's Adamas/Ovation, it will take anything we'll encounter...I'm bringing the ones I'll play plus...It's not freezing and it's not 100 degrees; not supposed to rain but perhaps showers tomorrow: golf clubs are staying home...

Just talked to Johnny (aka iffy) and he is proud to announce he is a grandfather again as of today! Not to impede our departure, we will probably be leaving his house about 10pm tonight. Should put us there roughly 12 hrs later. See you all there!

Thanx Jim!

We just had our fifth G-baby (all under 3 1/2 y.o.) and first G-daughter late this AM! Dakota Joy VanEerdeen was 6 lb. 8 oz., 20 inches long and beautiful. She 'told' me that she arrived a bit early so that I wouldn't hold up TJ and Gway in moseying up 'yonder'... ;)

Catch ya'll later. Gotta go finish packing my Arctic gear... :D

I might bring my Country Artist or the Martin 000X1,(almost as bulletproof as an Ovation).

Sorry Jim the OM is staying in Tennessee.

Well, day "1" has finally arrived for the SSJIII.

Richard is somewhere in the air, on a 20 hour flight to Hotlanta, from downunder....

Trader Jim, Gway and 2iffy are probably somewhere around the Hotlanta area area too....slap Johnny on the head to keep him awake....

The wild northern gals should be heading this way, as should the Crimson gang...

g8r will be heading out soon....

Music is probably still trying to figure out how to get his family and heard of guitars and equipment into one vehicle....

Blues, Capo Guy, and Otto are making their final plans...

The Tim in Tidewater family are natural born travelers, so I know that they are prepared...hope that the auto situation is taken care of.

I am guessing that Beal and Raine are in the foothills of NC somewhere. Don't know if DeBanjo is with them yet....BTW: for those of you that haven't heard Beal and Debanjo Jam, you are in for a real treat.

Keith is running around like a chicken with his head cut off...Trust me Keith, it's worth the effort. Thanks again for putting on this event!!

TRboy and Mar will be heading to the hills soon, searching out other banjo players.

Cliff???? 'nuf said.

Safe travels to all...we'll be arriving tomorrow morn...can't wait! :D

We've been here for a week, took that long to adjust to the time change.
Debanjo lives here.
Looking forward to it later today.

Just got back home: our 21 month old son had some problems and we felt it best to come back home early: BTW, it was 36 degrees this AM at 6:50...daytime high today was 45 with it forecast to go to the high 20's tonight: I like camping as much as anyone but right now it's 31 degrees at 10:55 pm. That's downright cold...BUT:
We had a blast and it was still going strong when we left at 5 pm. Beal had just showed up and the jam took off again...no Debanjo however...I have never seen so many guitars at one place: the number even beat the number at Amelia...I dropped off the UK-II to Crimson Lake and adopted a georgeous 1271 mid-70's All curley Maple Viper from Jewels Mom (thanks Karen!)...I'll post some pic's tomorrow when I am a bit more rested. I cannot thank Keith (war eagle) enough (and his family) for the use of the cabin and grounds...we had a blast and it's still happening!
This is the best group of folks ever! So good to see everyone again and the look on Richard's face playing his new '08 Collector was priceless!
I can't wait to do it again!

Yes, a big time was had by all. Well worth the trip. As is always the case it's nice to put faces and real names with the online personalities. It was a pleasure to meet all of you.
And the music never stopped inside the cabin the whole time I was there which was about 4 hours. Debanjo never got off work till 6:00 at Ghost Town in the Sky and couldn't make it.
As always it's good to see so many Ovations in one spot, and especially so many Adamii. Makes me proud. Almost makes me want to be in the music business again. But the gig I got now is pretty had to beat.
Thanks again to Keith and family for putting this on. We'll be there again next year if that's in the cards, and earlier too, get a full day of guitar playing in!
