I actually saw John Denver playing an Adamas at a live show that was on TV many moons ago. I remember the sound of the guitar really standing out on the song Calypso.(not sure about the spelling) But I like that song.

Davey Johnstone - Elton John's original guitarist
plays a bunch of O's on the Madison Square Garden
DVD from a few year's back, And some other guy plays a Mandy, too.
He also plays a green metallic strat - worth mentioning only because it's so ugly!
Quick - fast-forward to the next song and he's back to the O's!!

Has anyone mentioned Jesse Colin Young?

At least at one point in his career. From the back of his "Very Best of" CD.

I'll let the experts try to identify.

Can't believe we're on page 13 and no one has mentioned Tom Scholz and Boston!

The intro to More Than A Feeling just doesn't sound right on anything other than an Ovation! (Their latest release, Corporate America, even has a strangely roundback looking guitar on the cover...)

Lindsey Buckingham... (it took me a while to find the interview. Here's the part.

From 1977

LB: Onstage I play a (stock) Les Paul Custom, one of those twentieth anniversary models. Before I joined the band I'd been playing a Stratocaster (which I love dearly), but for some reason it didn't sound quite full enough 'live'. I still use a Stratocaster more in the studio than the Gibson, but the Les Paul seems to be a very good, basic, solid stage guitar with a lot of output and fullness. I'm really happy with it. I keep a Strat tuned to open D onstage for "Over my Head". And Rick Turner form Alembic put his little Stratoblaster in it. For "Landslide" my acoustic is an Ovation onstage, although I used a Martin D-18 on the recording. The Ovation's got a built-in pickup; it's great. It doesn't really sound like an acoustic guitar, but it works so much better 'live' than to mike a real acoustic.

There's a tv commercial running here for a collected hits of the 90s or something similar which features Paul Weller playing a beautiful sunburst, full body Custom Legend.
Do Paul Weller or The Jam mean anything to you guys?

I was cleaning out the garage today and found 2 boxes of guitar player mags from the 70's and 80's. On the august 1985 cover there is a great shot of Earl Klugh (where has he been lately?) playing what looks like a Country Artist with a cutaway. In the same mag there is an Ovation ad with a pic of cwk2 and Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon both playing 85 collectors.

Rich Williams of Kansas. On the "Two for the Show" album he used an O Classic on his guitar solo and "Dust in the Wind". I remember asking him about the O. He told me he liked it.

Nobody has said Joey Eppard. He's my favorite musician at the moment, personally. He uses all Ovation acoustics, not sure what he uses electric.

He's an amazing guitarist. I'm not sure how he plays, but most people say it's like a combination of flamesco and slap bass techniques.

www.purevolume.com/3 - His band. He has half of a solo set from a show on there. Listen to Bramfatura, a super-fast guitar solo by him. It's amazing.

www.purevolume.com/joeyeppard - Him. He has a solo album out and this has a few songs from it.
