Yes. Drinking makes you play better. You just have to make sure that everyone who hears you has been drinking at least as much as you.

Well, drinking at least makes you think you SOUND better. Videotapes, unfortunately, can reveal otherwise.

However, the part about others drinking as much as you holds water.

I always prefer my audiences to be drunk just to the point of being obnoxious, especially if I'm the only one in the audience. Some don't take much to be obnoxious, though. I suppose I shouldn't worry about finding the video from the NW Gathering.

The Steely-Eyed Northern Girls have begun packing; is anyone bringing an electric bass? I won't have room for the amp and stuff if I try to bring the Steinie. (Jewel and Zelda are gonna take up the better part of the back seat......)
If you're planning on bassing, could you let me know so's I can figure out what I have to cram in the Subie?
Thanks much,

This will be a contrast.
Brisbane today: Cloudy 77°/57°

Given the time difference, the 57° will probably happen at the same time.

I hope I don't have to pry my Adamas out of the Captain's cold dead hands. He might be having too much fun with it.

Karen ,

I can bring (Richardo, ya there?) an Italian EKO A/E bass (hey, I'm eclectic in my collection); but no amp fer it. So LMK if I need to pack it...

Richard,
We (TJ, Gway & I) are going from 90°-67° to the arctic north!

Aye, Jim! Went over the side there for a bit but back on board now. Sorry about going AWOL but... Seas have been a bit rough here over the last month. Think we're starting to sail out of it now though, and can finally turn our energies toward more pleasant endeavors. :D :D

Dug out my trusty Duluth pack Sunday and looks like all my camping gear is just as I left it. Set up the tent in the living room - looks good, no bent poles, no major holes. My son, (8) thought this was great. Camping in the living room where he could play video games from inside the tent. :)

Spent last night and tonight restringing guitars. More time playing than restringing actually. Hard to set down a guitar with brand new strings, y'know? :D If all goes well, I plan on cruising into Begginburg Friday night I'm guessing in the 10:00 neighborhood.

I am SO looking forward to this weekend!

Actually, I've only had it out of the case three times. I do not intend on abusing this guitar the way I have Crimson's Tornado.

That's reassuring. Charlton Heston put up a real fight before I got that gun off him.

Don't drink anything out of a jug with XXX or a skull and crossbones on it.

If I didn't know the Captain for the kind hearted, southern gentleman that he is, I'd be pulling a "Pete Townsend" with his Deacon right about now.

According to the weather forecast, I'm only wearing shorts on the trip up. Day-um, I hate cold weather! Yeah, I've been in a LOT colder, hence my dislike for temps under 82...

I guess just I'll have to keep warm by applauding all the talent showing up. Oh BTW, is anyone bringing any Taylors and Martins for building the campfire? :D

... can hardly wait to meet ya'll!
