With the videos and and Chordie link I think we are all about ready to "take the field".

You should have seen Bobbo play this. A perfect lesson on how there is so much more to playing a song than just hitting the notes.

Ditto to Brad's comment. Bobbo didn't do the song, he "told and sold" the story....

P.S. Thanks for the kind words, lads. It always works better for me when it comes from inside somehow. I can't explain it.

Bobbo, Jeff & I seem to have exhausted our pics to post in the "Gatherings" section.
Anyone else???
This thread will eventually sink like the massive stone it is but the "Gatherings" section is the place we will reffer to in the future.

And I don't even want to hear that you don't know how to post a picture.

Based on the scene in the van that was posted, I am beginning to feel very afraid!

Bill, maybe you can answer the question about baritones that I posted in the Matt Smith section.

Matt'll probably be back on here soon . . .

I saw him last night at that photo shoot for KMC at a local club (fun time, btw), and he was running on fumes from doing a benefit (all the way up in ALBANY) the night before . . .

They would do C but D might be a stretch. I wouldn't go that high with that heavy a string.

I'd like to be able to have it at "D" and "C" would be nice. I could probably live without the house rumbling "B".

What do you think would make up a good set to handle "C" and "D".

Might have to buy another one just for the "B" scale.. :D

I've got D'Add EJ18 (Heavys) on mine, and currently have it tuned to CGCFGC (DADGAD a step-down)
without any rattling.
I can do B-to-B with these strings, but y'just have to be extra-careful fretting that bottom string on the first five frets or so . . .

Those are 14-59, right?

I wonder how it would be to make up a custom set around 64-14 and if it would stabilize and reduce any string rattle at low B while still being about to go up to the D tuning.

Just checked....D'Add makes 2 sets for acoustic baritone:

EXP23........... 16-22-29-48-60-70

XL157........... 14-18-26-44-56-68 (for 29 3/4" scale)

Never thought about scale length. Anybody know what the 2080D's are?
