I have so many strikes, they don't let me bat anymore. Being a Kansas State alum used to be one of the worst, until the football team finally earned a degree of respect a few years ago. Boise State's blue turf was the brunt of many jokes, but now people seem to be afraid of it.
Have I totally diverted this thread, yet?

I've been to Idaho - long before I knew you were there. Beautiful country. If your winters weren't so dang cold I could spend my remaining time there.

I prefer some winter and strongly favor mountains. I really dislike humidity. The Boise winters are pretty mild, but if everyone knew that, they'd all be moving here. Too late.
I was just thinking about watching Miami play Nevada here a couple years ago. They might have done better than a 1 point win if some of those guys had ever seen snow or even a long sleeve shirt.

Who can be expected to play a decent away game on blue turf?

I hope they finish undefeated and throw a big wrench into the BCS.

Not if they play the way they played Saturday. Lots of parity anymore. This strength of schedule stuff is BS in a year where one of the supposedly strongest teams gets beaten twice already but still is ranked in the top 25 and BSU drops a notch in the polls when it only beats a 1AA team by 17 points.

Gawd, Footballl............

And we get back just in time to have our nice little blue and orange island turn red and black, like it does every year.

Your blue and orange team doesn't have blue turf, though.
I like this thread a lot better once we turned the glove and challenge theme into football.

The funny part is that most everyone here are Florida fans, blue and orange, but come October most of the business owners all go red and black. The reason is the Georgia fans over take the island and the game is on Saturday. If they loose they all go home Sat night. If they win they stay through Sunday night and party and spend money in town. In the end it's all about the green I guess.

Now just to bring it full circle, do you think The Usual Suspects would tell if it was a wide neck 39 or had the wuss 1 11/16 neck? They changed at mid year.

The problem with Boise State is that their schedule dosn't allow you know how good, or not so good they really are. They could be the best team in the country because they will probably go undefeated. Or put them in the SEC and they might be a .500 team. Who knows.

They had a nice win against Oregon. If they play 10 times does Oregon win 8 of them and this year happened to be one of the 2? You never know, but that's the beauty of college football.

Oregon's 0 for 2 so far. It is hard to tell, but the Pac 10, the SEC or any of the other BCS conferences aren't as dominant as they used to be. Sorry for circling back, Beal. I'm not sure US is paying attention anymore.

Most assuredly the wide neck. She would have been just another skank not worth a look otherwise.

My wish is for the Georgia team to pummel those Florida fools. I grow quite weary of all the adulation foisted on Saint Tebow.

He means that Boise St has won the last 2 meetings against Oregon. They've done that to Weaver State, Montana Central and University of Eastern Idaho as well.
