Well Brad, it is a long story with my wife having been hospitalized with a condition (that turned out to be much more serious than originally thought) over the last 6 days.

If you reread the message you quoted, you will see that I never said the guitar was smashed....I said I was.

In a fit of self pity over my wife's condition, I proceeded to get really blitzed, drunk, loaded or "smashed" as we use to say.

I was telling Jeff that I would not be home anytime soon to play with the guitar.

In my blitzed condition, what I wrote made perfect sense. Rereading the message a week later I can certainly see where the misunderstanding arose.

Since I was spending almost all of my time at the hospital, I did not ever get back on the board to see what a commotion I had created until Blues brought it to my attention.

Sorry if I caused anyone any grief or loss of sleep.

My wife is home now and doing much better.

I should be able to return to being my smartass sarcastic self within a few days.

Mortality Sucks!

Thank you and goodnight to all.

It is not easy when injury affects someone that we love...your only comfort is that you can be there during the crisis.

While we were conjecturing about the condition of a physical object, you were assisting your wife and family. Good man.

Several of us have had Lia, yourself, and family in our prayers. Our hope for her speedy recovery.

Sincere apologies if any of this added any weight at all to what must have been a very tough week as it was, Mr. T. Please know that prayers are being sent straightaway from this family to yours.

I look forward to the comfort of hearing your sarcastic wit soon! Reality can sure cut into our play time. Hang in there and take care of what's most important.

Stephen...
#1..I am sorry to hear about your wife's problems and am glad to hear she is doing better. Yes...morality sucks so every minute counts.
#2..Now I feel like a schmuck. I stayed awake a little longer worrying about something that in comparison, was very minor. You had a much better reason to loose sleep.
#3.."I arrived"...I thought is was a typo meant to say "IT arrived". That way the post made sense. Then you just dropped out of sight. There would be a number of excusable reasons to disappear like that. Your reason would qualify in the top 3 at least.

No problem....I always wear break-away lace.
And Woody...Nice get on the "Things that Legends are made of" line. That's worth 5 OFC points.

Why get a life? we have each other!

And getting back on point:

The WRB can take it's time getting to me and it isn't it part of its Tour to be played by someone seeking comfort as well as celebrating? I will try to play it in our church service when it gets here.
Let its strings join us as we sing the song of life.

Stephen, I hope your wife's illness wasn't induced by learning you have secretly spent her entire trust fund on guitars in the last year...

In any case, I hope she is recovering well, and that you two are spending happily your time together while she heals.

Please, offer her my best wishes.

And let us all learn from this...
Each of us must do our very best to keep Brad out of lacy women's lingerie...

...unless he's not the one wearing it.

Remember in the movie "Brainstorm" there was a certain psychotic section of the heart attack recording that they used for torture?

That's pretty close!
