Wow, the get together at Beal and Lorraine's house was great: some of the finest guitars anyone has ever seen in one place; Fantastic hospitality; great friends, great food, drinks and too much fun! Matt sat and played a preview for us: the clinic starts at 9am sharp (well, as sharp as it can be here in Florida)...Golf was a blast: beautiful course and just enough gators...I counted 5...we lost a lot of balls, racked up impressive high scores and managed to not get too sunburned!
I have taken some fantastic photos: Jerome is going to have a part of his site with complete photo by photo coverage: it will take a few days: not much time here to do much other than the schedule but BJ and I are going to try!
All I can say is this is an awesome event and as Beal says: "It does not Suck!"

More coverage tomorrow!

I am " SHOCKED " that we do not have any pictures from this jam that has been talked about for the last 6 months.
Maybe it is like that O.J. Simson movie Capricorn One when they faked the landing on the Moon ?
No Pictures of the event??? Sounds Fishy to me.

PS , SlipKId 2 inches of the white stuff on the ground and it is falling down hard.GWB

For those of us at home, I gave Dave a dozen golf balls for the trip. Some Disney, some Christmas, some with my law firm logo and just some normal ones. I figured he'd have a few extra and would give some away, but maybe if he's as bad as he says he is, he left them all with the gators.

At first I thought they were lying about the weather because everyone was wearing jeans, but the last few pictures look awfully warm. Just a little below freezing this morning and had a snowstorm in eastern Idaho yesterday.

Congrats to Mike and Brad on the songwriting competition. Is there anyone trustworthy enough to verify Beal's 82 on the golf course or are you sworn to secrecy?

Thanks for the pix, Mikey. There's something about Blues Sailor that's different than I remember... oh yeah, he's playing a guitar.

And something tells me Beggin and TR were sitting a little closer until somebody pulled out a camera.

Have a great time.

A career in the Music Industry---30 years

Getting more than 100 guitars----More than $100,000

Getting lessons and learning how to play---More money and more years

spending four days with great people putting it all to use---Priceless

totally priceless.

It sounds like a great idea and great event you put on, Bill. If it did suck, you'd get the blame, so since it didn't suck you should get the credit, even for the good weather.
Maybe I should get guitar lessons. The golf lessons were a waste of money.
I just checked back this started on this board with Bill asking if anyone would come, 60 pages and 2 threads ago last August.

Looking at those pictures reminds me of how much fun I had at the OFC get together last year. The best part (after the ride/hanging with Brad and Brian) was meeting all of the regulars from here that were there. The Amelia Island thing looks like it was at least as much fun. And warmer. ;)

To all who participated...
I was totally struck speechless when I realized that what I suspected to be a setup was in reality an astounding gift. When I was presented with the Koala and realized the true situation I literally could find no words to say (possibly the real motivation).
I have always been amazed by the kindness and generosity of members here, but I now have a new respect for this community, which is unlike any other I have been a member of.
As much as I have coveted (lusted) after this guitar, it is not about the guitar. It is about the incredible gift of friendship and 'kinship' I feel from so many of you.

Thank you so much.
