We're still here.
Music Mike won first place in the songwriting contest, and Bradley won second!!!
Congrats to both. Brad bought the more critical members of his backup band (and Moody) waffles.

By the, Witco has been posting under his new name.

i was privileged (read: blessed) to hear musicmike's wind song last week via landline. if i may take a few liberties with an old perfume jingle, "his wind song stayed on my mind"! i knew after the first few lines he had a winner and a song that should be recorded and published soon. i am looking forward to hearing/seeing more of the entries as soon as possible. someone did film the event, didn't they?

CONGRATULATIONS, MIKE AND BRAD!!

Nice work, guys!

Now on to the war zone...whoops, I mean the golf course. (I'd still be wearing a helmet though)

Waskel, enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Rain/Snow(!) mix forecast here today... that's right, snow level 500 feet, and it's snowing out my window right now!

I'm trying not to be envious. They may have had a great time last night. They may be very talented guitar players/singers/songwriters. But I bet they're stinking up a really nice golf course right now.

A bad day golfing beats a good day at work almost every time.

They should have finished golfing by now, if anyone was able to finish. It's time to post scores.

Careful Mark some of their scores may be mistaken for Ovation guitar serial numbers. ;) :D

I knew there would be some serious "rubbing it in" from this event. I don't really care or believe what his golf score was, I'd be happy to be down there. I suppose I could go out and play 9 holes today, but I'd have to break 50 to match the temperature. I'm ready for the global warming. (I should be able to go skiing and golfing on the same day by now. I will try to do that in a couple weeks, just to rub it in with Slipkid.)

Only one score posted?

A pretty good one I might add. (Unless it was for only nine holes). :D

I checked the weather for Amelia Island and he was close, but a little high. I doubt the same was true of his golf score. I'd settle for anything between 60 and 90 for either. Humidity was only 34%. Rough day down there.

126 for me. But, I'm not a golfer (2nd time in 5 years).
T28 coached me.
82 degrees, light wind. It was brutal out there.
Dinner at Beals was great, thanks again to Bill & Lorraine for being such gracious hosts. In a little while we'll go see Davis & Pam play.
As Bill says, "It does not suck".
