March blows.

Judging by the Winter we just had (which to some degree, STILL isn't over), the weather up there woulda' been shite . . . .

Hell, we couldn't have even've used the pool as a beer cooler, 'cause the cover woulda' still been on it . . .

June's definitely better.

Besides, . . . Morris is still hibernatin' in March . . .

The files were too large for the POS computer at home to manipulate in any KIND of timely fashion.

I've been (im)patiently waiting for my new workstation to come, but Dell has delayed my order (again!) because they're waiting for the shipment of digital monitors to come in . . .
Current ETD is 05.30.05

Sorry for taking so long . . .

D'ya want the disks back??

nope don't want the disks back. just "breakin' em."

may is better because: less graduations, less weddings. less vacations. less travel, kids still in school, weather generally a little cooler, less committments etc

I checked Mapquest. It says 11 hours 3 minutes not taking into account I'll have to stop and fuel up along the way. How much money is one going to spend in tolls on the turnpike ? This may be to no avail but i really want to make it to the tour.

OK - quit nagging. I found a cheap flight - how far is the factory from somewhere called Bute ? And why are the mountains calleed "Black"? And can I walk it?

As long as its in June its gonna keep clashing with my wedding anniversary - tho after all these years why she needs me around to have a good time escapes me. I WILL try next year.

You could win one while you are there! They give them away!

I would also suggest you wear baggy clothing with a lot of pockets!

Regarding the Jam session - does anyone need to bring any accessories along - like mikes/stands, etc.,or is that stuff all set? Also, it might be nice to finish-off the jam with a tune that everybody (who wants to) can join in to sing and/or play, (not to try to add structure to this musicaly free-for-all.) In 2003, it just kinda happened with "The Weight" by The Band. I guess everybody knows THAT one.
Any thoughts? Cliff??? Anyone? Crazy Chester?

Stever Chapman, go 77 to 81 to 84 to 8 to 44, then turn left in New Hartford. Only a dollar over the Hudson.
Or you could go 95 to Baltimore and cut over to 81 there.

Quoted from Karmanng a few clicks back:

"...it might be nice to finish-off the jam with a tune that everybody (who wants to) can join in to sing and/or play, (not to try to add structure to this musicaly free-for-all.) In 2003, it just kinda happened with "The Weight" by The Band. I guess everybody knows THAT one.

Anyone have a simple, catchy tune, we so we could ALL learn in a few weeks so we could ALL play ONE song together as mentioned above... (We could email to anyone interested), I haven't a clue what THE WEIGHT IS...

I vote for "Scarborough Fair" ,arranged by Russ Shipton. It has 4 chords Am,Em,D and G...

I could scan it and send it to anyone interested...

The history of Scarborough and its fair:

This English folk song dates back to late medieval times, when the seaside resort of Scarborough was an important venue for tradesmen from all over England. Founded well over a thousand years ago as Skarthaborg by the norman Skartha, the Viking settlement in North Yorkshire in the north-west of England became a very important port as the dark ages drew to a close.

Scarborough Fair was not a fair as we know it today (although it attracted jesters and jugglers) but a huge forty-five day trading event, starting August fifteen, which was exceptionally long for a "fair" in those days.

People from all over England, and even some from the continent, came to Scarborough to do their business. As eventually the harbour started to decline, so did the fair, and Scarborough is a quiet, small town now.

Sort of resembles our gathering in Conn. in a small way... Let's hope it DOESN"T DECLINE !!!
