Methinks Iffy speaks of Alison's curves....taking the ol' Alison tour. (Maybe I should rethink making this gathering...) I apologize in advance for this rude, crass, and tasteless post.

Oops....someone just pointed out to me that my post could be interpreted worse than what I meant. I meant "the tour" like those guys in the comic were doing with their eyes. I tried to delete it but it timed me out. Sorry again, Alison. Feel free to smack me next time you see me!

You'll be in good company at the gathering then.
Darkbar, no one on this forum would ever interpret something inappropriately.

Hey Bob, since it was my cartoon posting, I'll take the punishment from Alison in June for the both of us. Mea culpa...

Spring in the Hills. 80 degrees one day, 30 the next. Don't worry though, by the end of June the temps will be anywhere from the 60's to 120.

It looks pretty aerodynamic... in a "lifting body" sort of way.

Mark, that looks great! I quick trip to Maaco and you could have it match the car, then ]admirers would think it was a $1,500 factory accessory.

I already have a more aerodynamic one, but it hangs out so far over the front and back that we couldn't open the back hatch.
Brad, we saw one a couple years ago, same color car with a ski carrier on top painted to match. I think I'll just have Maaco paint the car two tone white and gray to match the carrier.
I wonder what the lift off speed will be. It might not be as fast a trip as the one I made to San Diego, but maybe I won't get a ticket this time.

Mark, make sure that thing is secure! We had one come off the top of our van on a camping trip. Luckily nobody was behind us at 5 am, and the darned thing suffered only minor damage. But sleeping bags are a lot more forgiving than your cargo.

I'm not putting anything special up there. The guitar cases were just a joke, but maybe someday. I'm going to load it up with something disposable and take it out for a test drive while I still have time to take corrective measures. I've had other luggage racks up to pretty high speeds before with no adverse effects except on gas mileage. I think lift may be the biggest concern. I can raise the car up a couple inches by lifting on the carrier.

We're three weeks away from going to the printers with the Jam Book chord sheets. A list of the potential contents follows. If you want something included that is not on the list, please send me the chord sheet, preferably with the largest typeface possible yet still on one page only. Also, this book is already a monster, so if there are songs listed that you think for sure should be deleted, let me know that, too. If the final list is too much, then I'll delete some at my own choosing, those spread over two pages will be the first to be deleted. Of course, I'll print the pages back-to-back, and those two-page songs that do make it to printing, the pages will face each other so there will be no turning a page mid-song. Disregard typos which will be corrected in the final.

Nice job, Prof. That's more songs than I'd ever play, but at least most of them are from my era.
Hey, can anyone borrow or bring an 05 or 07 Collectors or a 2078ES? I'd really like to try out an Ovation with an Engleman Spruce top and, as much as everyone raved about the 07s, it seems like someone would have one to bring along. I'm thinking I might like to have an Engleman Spruce Ovation and I haven't bought a guitar in a year.

Yikes. That's a lotta songs. I hope the plan is to have someone lead and others (like me) can just jam along. Just about every one of those are from the 60's or early 70's and I don't know a lot of those songs well enough. I'd like to play some more current stuff if we can. I'll see what I can pull together and send off to BB.

Is there a schedule of events and/or times yet? When/where are things going to be happening and that kind of stuff.

I could bring an 07, but that's not Engleman. It's bear claw spruce.
