Does someone from the Wednesday crowd have an empty bed available in their room so that I can split the cost for the night?
Brad, I am fairly sure we can work something out...just plan to come and we'll deal with it...

11:30 to 4 is kinda a long time to hang at the airport.
If I was bringing a guitar I could just go outside and "busk" for a while to pay my cab fair. Then again I could bring my UKE and they would pay me NOT to play. Probably get the cab fair quicker, too.

John.. I leave about 5 on Sunday. I think we could plan on sharing the ride that day at least.
Don't worry. I'll be good.

That's still cool John.
I can burn a couple hours at the airport.
I'll just sit and write-up my post Guitar-D-Gras review for the board.

I bet we have enough leaving around the 3-6pm time frame that we will be able to arrange for a couple of cabs without people having to sit around for hours.

Maybe enough for a stretch limo. Might be cheaper.

It wouldn't be an OFC event without me getting crammed into some vehicle with your elbow in my ear...

If we have to use multiple cabs, short straw rides with Moody.

At the risk of being Otter - or is it Flounder -from Animal House - I will have a car....I'm coming in early Thursday - Professor has one seat in it - any other takers are welcome - I'll stay through the events Sunday - then I have to get on the road to another state - I can get anyone and their stuff who can fit to the airport - guessing I'll leave between noon and 1:00...only limitation is space - gee do I need to upgrade to a van....

Watching this thread, I'm starting to get real sorry that I didn't sign up for this. But it just wasn't in the cards for this year.
Sounds like me. One day I wasn't goin', the next day I was. Pam came up behind me and asked what was going on on the OFC. I told her about the Amelia thing and how it was going to be an event centered around instruction & education and she said, "Gee, why don't you go??".
Well, Okay dear.. if you insist.

What happened to change your mind Paul?
.
Am I right that this event happened last year, too?

Brad, this last weekend, I mentioned this to Jerrie and she got kinda pissed that I wasn't planning on going. Then lo and behold, on Monday morning, somebody dropped out and I was thinking about it. I got major encouragement from a guitar homo I know that lives on an island, as well as from several other OFC members (who are very very good friends --- on a side note, this board could die tomorrow, but the friends I've made will last forever). Then while I was out working on Monday afternooon and evening, Jerrie made my plane and hotel reservations.

Looks like I'm going to be there the longest, getting in Tuesday afternoon and leaving Sunday late afternoon. Then on the following Monday, it's Opening Day at Dodger Stadium. Looks like I'm taking a full week off from work.

Can't remember the last time I've done that.

Oh, and to make it almost perfect, My OFC slothead is having some minor work done on it in CT. Kim's going to ship it to Florida to meet me there.....

It's too bad Slipkid isn't excited about this event. Think how much fun he would have if he showed even a little bit of enthusiasm.

Get out much, Brad? Probably a bad case of cabin fever. Wish I was joining you. I gave it a bit of thought after a trial got postponed and Omaha dropped out, but I'm glad Paul got to fill in. I'm sure it will be as much fun as Brad hopes it will be.

Paul, you are a PI, right? I mean, you're supposed to be an expert in recognizing suspicious behavior? :D
