I didn't want to pay $2 for some band I never heard of. He came back and said they were really good and had a cool violin player. I predicted they'd never be popular with a violin player. My uncle and I went to a huge nightclub in Louisville Kentucky many years ago. We didn't know who was playing there but the band was very loud even at the front door. We went off on our own in the huge, cavernous club in search of a rest room. We ended up going down a long hallway that ended with only one door. The music was very loud there. We opened the door and stepped into the side of the stage where Kansas was playing. Right there in front of us. We immediately turned and left of course. Thinking back I wish we'd have lingered a little longer.

I have no pictures, nor websites and/or YOU TUBE links for them, but they could be out there somewhere? One was the late RONNIE PROPHET, who had a national TV show taped here in Ottawa, in its infancy, c.1979-85. He played an Ovation Artist Classic through a HEIL TalkBox, doing a bad imitation of Peter Frampton, complete with frog noises in a comedy routine! The other player was/is WAYNE ROSTAD, who is still alive, AND infamous in Ottawa, for, WOULD YOU BELIEVE?..actually breaking the bridge while playing on his ADAMAS?!, which was one of only 2 ADAMAS/ADAMII sold in all of CANADA at the time, ca. 1977. I actually got to play the other one, that was sent to the Ovation rep, and NO, I DID NOT damage it!! Mike S., Ottawa, ON., CANADA
