It seemed back then, for some reason, that Thursday nite was the big party nite, more so than Friday. It was also payday for me and my buds at work. Well after calling out sick from work on a countless number of Fridays, and being called on the carpet by supervision about it, my co-workers started calling me(Dave) and Friday- "FRIDAVE". Oh yea, there were quite a few "Mondave's" also during that era of my life !

So, I decided to come up with a stage name. Our bassist at the time picked it out and it stuck - "Tragedy James". I HATED it, but it worked. Fast forward a couple of years, when I get all hooked up to the internet, and I needed a nickname for the various message boards that I frequent. Somehow or another it became "trag-o-caster" as a blending of "Tragedy" and "Telecaster" I currently do not go by "Tragedy James", however I still use "trag-o-caster" for all of the guitar-related messageboards. I don't know why.

Joined: March 2009 Posts: 715 | Well, there are several reasons for my name: 1. It's a play on the song "Guitarzan" by Ray Stevens 2. My middle name is Ann 3. I love the song "Annie's Song" by John Denver 4. Although I only have one guitar right now, it is actually my third guitar. My first was a piece of crap Memphis electric, which I traded in for a Stinger SSX electric by Martin. Michelle

At that time there was no 'three if by air'... C - aka sea, due to my love of the waters C - first letter of my last name On a couple of music related sites I added 'sharp', '2ifbyCsharp'. But I knew it wouldn't fly here... Mike, CrimsonLake, laid the 'Iffy' nomer on me a while back. And it stuck... Thanx Mike!

I was "Mickey J" as a pup because Grampa Mike was "Big Mike", Dad was "Little Mike" and "Uncle Mickey" was a cool dude before he died. Then I hired into a place where my last name was written on the front of my hardhat... So, Woody, Woodman, Whitford, Woodard, Woodrow, Woof'rd, etc. became the norm. And besides that, I'm just excited to be here.

Mr. Dawes was able to complete his task. We remember "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" because of the poem that popularized it.
