The background singers were closer to me so you have to pay attention to the smokey vocal stylings of our man Al. Get ready... Al Sings Grunge Beatles

Even if I edit out the marginal ones, that's still a lot of bits and bites. We talked about some centeral gathering point for pictures. It might be nice to have these in the original size rather than what the web site will host. I'd be willing to take point on this. You'd just have to get the photos to me somehow. (Maybe on a disc?) I'll put them in some sort of order and maybe make a DVD slideshow out of them. After that, I can send them out from here.

Now here's a guy who has flown well under the radar at past OFC events. No more. Wait till you hear his "Guy" song. Until then, you'll just have to be happy with this little "If I Could Turn Back Time" moment. And never, NEVER let him order for you at a resturant. He has an un-canny knack for not getting what he asks for. And can I get you anything else you didn't want, sir?

We're sitting on the deck waiting for the waitress to take our breakfast orders. This was Friday, Brad's already had 2 or 3 meals screwed up and isn't going to take anymore. When the waitress looks at him he says clearly, "2 eggs, bacon, NO grits, NO toast." The waitress starts writing, then says, "I'm sorry, sir, we aren't serving toast this morning." pause... pause... I lean over to Brad and say, "Is there something else you don't want as a substitute for the toast?" ... and of course he GOT the grits...

Steve Sutton (D'Banjo) is retrieving his banjo from Beal's utility/laundry room. Me: Bill really makes you keep your banjo in here? Steve: No, he prefers to keep it in the garage with a hose from the car exhaust running to it...

Seriously, it was great to meet more of the 'O family' and and trying to hug Big Al. If this is the thread to express our impressions of the gathering, then I'll post more after my mind regains some circulation. At this point all I can say is WOW... just WOW!

I'm crazy for van Gogh! DaVinci and Angelo were geniuses. Rodan is my hero. Monet and Pissaro really turn me on. Doisneau, Adams, Gowin are incomparable photographers... and then there's this: well done.
