Here's the real post:

Lol!

Caravan and TUS are just idiots.

Here's the deal:
1) Introduce yourself -- Why are you here?
2) Contribute a bit...until you have been here for a LONG time (this is a "mature" forum -- in computer terms).
3) Bring some REAL value to the proceedings... this is a lesson for life. As someone said: we "newbies" come here to learn something at your feet. Do you REALLY want to send us away just 'cause you're bored, or burned out, or tired, or all talked out?
4) Do as others have done: contribute; until you have arrived at such a point as you can say it is time to start dishing on others. I'm thinking 4,000 posts? I could be wrong, and admitting that would be setting me apart from idiots like Suspects and Caravan who, apparently, are always right.
5) When you have CONTRIBUTED, have at us other ignoramuses (ignorami?)! Won't bother me a bit. I HOPE I'll learn something. To quote myself a bit above, if Beal had told me to change something, I'd have taken it seriously.

However, this is not a "John_Updike-submitted-Something-To-A-Publisher-And-It-Was-Rejected" kind of thing. The entries of Caravan and Suspects ARE typically moronic, pointless, mindless, imbecilic, idiotic, inane, insipid and illiterate. Been there. Done that. When I was 4-years old.

Stirring the pot is fine, but, can't you at least do so with something a tad less moronic? Maybe something clever? Stirring the pot just for the sake of stirring the pot is just plain moronic, and indicates bad breeding or a liver complaint.

...I'm thinking 4,000 posts?

So... Does this mean that I have been here long enough that I should be submitting things that are edifying, enlightening, and Productive?

Whoa... That sounds like a tall order.

fasinating.
To quote the South Park Kids....
I learned something today.

Here we all are sitting on our front porches, sipping a glass of warm milk or perhaps some crazy Scotch that is made from pete moss from some bog in Scotland. Each with our own unique view and perspective of the truth. And each perspective filtered through the beliefs, prejudices, faults and fears of the individual.

Then we cast our eyes down to the screen on the laptop and expect all our internet friends on all of these different front porches to see the same view we do.

Alan... I appreciate your post. I really do. I know that from your porch, that is what you see. I don't have any special "Google Earth" type of view but I have spent some time on other members porches so I might perseve things, thru my own prejudices and beliefs, a bit differently.

I could take it another level deeper but... nuf said.

But this is very interesting.

Let me get this straight ...

A) We are required to post clips of our playing in order to qualify as legitimate members?

B) We are required to contribute something deemed "worthy" by a panel of newcomers?

Yeah, right.

My original list had bite me. I guess when I made the drop down menu I decided to go for a kinder more gentle approach so I replaced it with you are a douche bag. It's sorta directed at the same type of people.

So to take the thread where it ought to go....
You've all learned your John Denver songs and Neeling down Diamond songs this summer. Good

Did you write any??????????
Did you take the cool changes in those songs and make them yours with your words? Change the time, change the key, change the order but make them your songs and make them good. Did you do that yet?
Or did you just totally do something from scratch. I got one that is Killer, took me a
year to get it right. Another came together for next wed. 6 month on the music and two weeks on the words. Got a third one clanging round back there.
ENuf tyops for you Mark?
You want to hear Caravasn play or TUS pick a bit. They are on the first cds that are out there, there were 2 or3 I think. It's there hiding in plain sight.
That's the real leasson this summer.

FYI (shameless plug forthcoming) ...

The Takamine Forum CD will be coming out shortly and you can hear many of your cohorts performing original tunes over there. Some mighty good stuff if I do say so myself. Should be up for sale around Nov 1st.
