I remember hearing the song and wondering why I didn't know there were all these pro players out there in OFC land. Another well produced, well-played, well-sung original track. Any Room in Heaven? - Sleepy Eyes McGee I know someone here has to have a picture of Sleepy Eyes around. I met him at one or two OFC factory tour jams and he is just plain one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Listen up and then come back tomorrow for more tasty goodies. [/QB] ![]()

And Sleepy Eyes has a major-league singing voice for this genre. The playing is tasty, and you can easily envision this having two versions: this one, and a 10-15 minute jam version with three guitarists just going off in turns, leading over the beautifully melodic progressions behind it. Great selection!Let's go back to the first OFC CD ... to a track that is nothing short of phenomenal. The way it sets is a mood is nothing short of wonderful! Sometimes the true beauty of a performance is in its simplicity, despite the sophistication underneath it all. It's the thrill of seeing an artist perform the song in a coffee house ... where there is nothing between you and the singer/songwriter. Where gizmos, gadgetry and gimmicks are non-existent ... the only things that matter are the lyrics, the tune, and the player. It's where most of us live day in and day out. There are few however who can tell a story where the images form in our mind, and we transcend everything around us to wind up in the place where the singer/songwriter has created for our pleasure. Such is the case here ... where I can see the bottles, feel the acceleration, hear the words coming from kimby-d, taste the ribs and chicken, and smell the brazilian. While there might be temptation, there is no guilt. So savor this one. I guarantee it'll keep popping into your head at all the right moments. Today's Song-O-Th'Day is from the MNO Vol. 3 CD: Temptation - Mauvais Beal Until the next time. Play. And THIS is a great potential jammin' song as well! What fun to break out the ol' OFC II and lay down a few (amateurish) blues licks while playing this on the stereo! And, with that enthusiastically positive review, we are back in sequence!

I was incommunicado for a short while ... this cat is doing some time on the road so I want this next tune to be one you can play over and over. All you all who are still up this Saturday night can hang with the bobbo and give this disc a spin. I got this disc directly from the band a few months back, and some of you who have gone deep into some of the tunes on the ning site might recognize the song. But I've gotta say, the whole disc is real good and I had a hard time deciding which song I was going to post this time around. So eeny meeny miney mo ... Paper Kisses - Acousticrat The band is Acousticrat. The CD is Complexity. Get it. It features our resident technical and engineering wizard, who also happens to be one of the finest guitar players I've ever seen, Mr. Paul Templeman.

Joined: August 2002 Posts: 8307 Location: Tennessee | Well, I'm back. I had a nice couple of days doing something different, and it was a blast all the way around. I got to listen to a bunch of music whilst tootling along, and I'm primed and ready to spin another disc. Let's see about putting S-O-T'D back on the Top of the Charts here at radiOfc. I love it when a plan comes together. I totally love this next track and have so since the first time I heard it. I was set on putting it up a couple of times but something else always had the last minute karma and got spun. Well, karma is a boomerang ... and proved it again today. I have a Facebook page ... and I'm a fan of Ovation Guitars over there. Today, they linked up a video of ... get this .. an OFC'r playing an Adamas, with the message "All I can say is sweet!". OMG! It's the song I keep trying to put up from the OFC Member's Night Out Vol II disc. Put up on Facebook! It's always some big star that they promote, someone real well known ... either famous or infamous. But it's one of the family, notre frère. So listen to this song (and put your headphones on! Ovation stereo pickups can be just the coolest): Blue Finger - Pascal Ridoux Whoa. What a great sound that Adamas puts out. And what a great player! Nice job Pascal. And now, for everyone out there wondering how the heck he plays that, here is the video that Ovation Guitars blasted out to all their Facebook fans - over 5000 of them. Well, here it it being blasted out to over 8000 more! YOU TUBE - Blue Finger by Pascal Is life totally cool or what? Catch you all on the B-Side. Until then, play something sweet for your baby.

I NEVER should have sold that one, but I know it's in great hands. Geez listening to that video I can for sure say it NEVER sounded so good before.
