I have to think it is the timing....

I did the same and with the same result...nothing...not even a reply...and it was for the asking price abet w/ some creative financing; too bad, but I just don’t have 9 large in the bank at the moment...but,....its cool! I have some really great guitars and while #45 is truly a great guitar as well no doubt, I would not sacrifice a portion of my collection to get one guitar. Cliff nails it I suppose: F...ing Reissues: ahh yes, but they are really nice F...ing reissues! The 47 is the Bee’s Knees; and my 1688-5 12 is simply TDF! Best wishes Colin…at least I tried!

The OFC guitar and the 47RI were opportunities to get something unique, rare and special. This slothead sale is a huge opportunity to own a great instrument with true historic value. I love my 47RI, but if selling it was all it took to get me the rest of the cash I needed, I would have been playing #45 weeks ago! For me it is definitely timing, too many expenses this year.

When I hit 'Send Reply' it doesn't always show up in the small 'Sent' box. Some do, others don't. BTW... I just responded to one from this morning. Let me know if you got it. (you know who you are!) Maybe e-mail would be better for contacting me. c_holloway@bellsouth.net Sorry.

I know you read it because the system told me so...however, probably just as well with christmas right around the corner. Don't need the family giving me a lump of coal because they didn't get anything :) I guess I'll remain one of us that will have to be satisfied owning 2 out of the 3... Tim

Add Reply...... then after a while 3 posts poppin' up! I had heard of how you took rejection and was just considering your feelings. :( I'm that kinda guy.

Joined: March 2005 Posts: 2793 Location: Atlanta, GA. | I'm sorry that some of my responses, to offers, were not sent and taken as though you were being ignored. This was not the case. I thought I responded to every PM. Within the next few days I'll run it at auction to see if there is any interest. If not, it'll sit in the closet for another 17 years... THEN TRY TO BUY IT!!! heheheh Thank y'all for the comaraderie and BS that makes this site more enjoyable than most!
