Man, I came down with the worst case of the flu I have ever experienced. I was in bed for 5 days, couldn't eat, couldn't get any restfull sleep, couldn't play my guitars. I missed a whole week of work, which throws my PTO into negative numbers, and on top of that my family moved to a new house over the weekend. I was moving stuff by force of will alone. 12 days from the first feelling bad and I still haven't totally revovered...
Let's say I coudl do some good Tom Waits with my voice like it is.

My company had to forgo the usual flu shots they give for free, thought it would be no big deal. Hope nobody else out there has to go through it.....

I just hope my virus protection doesn't allow the flu to spread via my computer.

Doesn't Tom Waits play a Taylor?

Seriously, I hope you feel better, but to quote from Office Space; "I wouldn't call it missing work".

With this New World Order we can share a disease with anyone, anywhere, overnight. But UPS still takes 8 days to go coast to coast!

I was given a room to hang my O's in as well. Some days it may need a couch with a hide-a-bed as well.

Very Nice, Paul! That front porch just screams of pickin' and grinin' and maybe even an album cover.

Wow, Paul!
NICE "Acoustic Porch"!!
Best of Luck to You, Shannon, and the rest o' the family! Very Nice.

Al;
I'm not positive, but I think that MAYBE the porch isn't high enough to warrant a rail.
(But then again, it HAS been a while since I've rassled with a NJ Building Inspector).

Nice place, so if I come by sometime on my way to Cleburne, we could sit on the porch and pick and grin and spit and whittle?
Hope you get fully recovered soon. Looking forward to April.

Great house and porch Wag! I won't show the pic to my wife as it would end up costing you money. I have no doubt tht she would tell you that the porch is screaming for a porch swing!

What town/city are you living in now?

It needs an old couch and Three Guitar Players at least!

Home is where you hang your O!

Thanks, all! I'll get some pics when we break in the porch with some pickin' and grinnin'!

cliff - LMAO!

moody, we just moved 4 miles, still in Cowtown, Fort Worth that is....

I've tried to convince my wife that a porch swing would make it harder to get a bigger guitar circle going, we'll see what develops...

Paul, I had a house with a porch very similar to that - I put the swing at the end of the porch, facing in. Gave spouses and s/o's somewhere to sit and giggle while we were doing important things.

John.

Where in Ft. Worth are you? I'm in Keller (NE Tarrant). We don't have many porches up here. Mostly just new suburb tract homes.

Nice house and it has an atmosphere of better times. Nobody puts a wood floored porch on any house built today. The other thing that caught my eye as an ex paint salesman many years ago was the gray floor and deck paint on the porch. Some sailors might recognize the color.

Pickin' and singin on the front porch was a way of life before TV and amplifiers.

Air conditioning had a lot to do with the demise of porches as well.
