I was looking for the option that says Cannot Fit Into a Genre but I had to choose Other instead.

Well, I would account for one of the 3 jazzers.

Can't play that genre worth a damn but I love to sit and listen to it. It is my ultimate mood elevator!

I'm confused - one can't fit into his genre and one can't play his genre. exactly what is a genre? if you rub an old lamp does one jump out?

there's still one jazzer in the closet.

and schroeder asks:

So I megerly and gingerly step into the spotlight and WHAMMMM!
Ridicule runs rampant by the Brit who asked the question.

I'm watching you....won't get fooled again ;)

just offering a helping supporting hand as you take that first faltering step and admit to liking jazz. I'm here for you when your friends and family turn against you. we have to stick together.

true story - about 3 weeks ago I was stood at the bar between sets and got talking to a guy. "It's nice that so many people still like jazz" I said (it was a good crowd). "Can't stand it" he said, "but the beer 's cheap on Mondays".

We need to flush out these "Other" folk as well. If they are not Byzantine Opera fans, what genre could they possibly be into?

Gregorian Chant? Hawaiian Ballad? Synth Pop? Big Band? Yodeling? Purple Dinosaur?

Tell us...

Since it had to be just 1, I chose the "Other" category.

But I have to admit that currently I have been listening to "The Complete Robert Johnson Gold Collection" almost exclusively for many weeks now.
