There has been some 1537 activity over the past couple of weeks. Some have changed hands and there are some new arrivals to the clan. Also, all you 1538 and 1547 owners join the list, but make sure you reference the model number as well.

If you will; Add your serial number to the list as well as date acquired...

1537s in ascending serial order:

301004- Tony Calman
301075- Standing Ovation
301081- Jeff Whitehead-2/04
301241- Dolbyscat
301283- Mitchrx
301347- Stonebobbo
301428- Alpep
301644- Mike Cook
301904- Designzilla-3/05
302415- Moody P.I.
302433- Stephen Terry
302670- Frank10101
** CWK2- 051982 prototype.
** Glen- either 051882 or 052082

3 1537's? Wow.

With such a high number, I feel like I must be a latecomer to the 1537 club.

Does the wood top Adamas (with Adamas style headstock and bridge, 2-knobs) prototype belong to this 1537 family? It's basically the same wooden body guitar. Bill?

I have seen about three on the internet belonging to different non-OFC folks. Maybe one or two that somehow made it to japan, but on websites I couldn't read, only see that someone owned them. Does Jerome know of any in Europe? Peace mike

Hmmm. Good question. I don't know. You should send it to me for review. Only after a thorough, and what I am sure would be a necessarily lengthy evaluation, could we possibly determine suitablity for inclusion in the list.

1991..Got it in trade for a Shure PA system. There is a possibility that i may be selling it,a couple of months ago i lost the tips of my second and third fingers(left hand,go figure). The irony of that is,..i'm actually left handed and when i started playing it was more convenient to be a righty, guess it's to late to change now.

John,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your fingers. Unfortunate.. and even more so as a guitar player. Any thoughts about batting lefty again and using the right hand on the neck?

Hope you have healed well.

John,
No excuse to give up. Tony Iommi, one of the metal pioneers had a very similar injury and almost gave up guitar.

Instead he made metal tips to wear on his fingers and went on to form Black Sabbath.

You have to take into account that Tony Iommi, started out with more talent in his pinky finger than i'll ever have.I think at age 54 to try and play left handed i'd be 97 yrs old by the time i'd mastered the 4 chords i know now.And hey it's not so bad i'll start playing slide on the Tele, you never know i may get good at it.

Plus you can tune to an open E chord and barre like crazy while your playing that slide!
