How's this for a good weekend? On Saturday, I finally got my Legend LX back from the shop and it's as good as new, and later that day my wife and I found out that we are expecting our first child! Doesn't get any better than that!

I'm so happy, I don't mind that I was sick as a dog all weekend.

Congrats all around. Good material for composing a new song. Can't be Blues, though. We have rules for that.

Is Lake Hiawatha, NJ anything like Memphis or Chicago? However, a sleepless night is a sleepless night....

Any secret desires for a girl or a boy?

That poses a good question:

John;
Is there even a LAKE in Lake Hiawatha??
I've known a bunch of people who've lived there (including my ex-mother-in-law) over the years, and in all the times I've been there, I don't think I've EVER seen a "lake" anywhere . . . .

I go back and forth on that one. I think I'm leaning slightly toward a boy, but I'll be thrilled either way.

I think that there was years ago, but other than the flood in my basement 2 summers ago, I haven't seen one either.

We've been trying for a while so names have been discussed quite a bit. If it's a boy, we are probably going with "Andrew John" and for a girl I think that we have it narrowed down to "Julia" or "Emily". Maybe I should post a poll on this one. ;)

My daughter, now 28, always says she wishes she had a name that was easily abbreviated or changeable...ie, Samantha could be Sammy or Sam.

Seems like kids these days always want to shorten things up. My duaghter Heather was called Heath by her friends and my son Justin was called Just.

Laziness on their part but I guess it is the current thing among friends.

I wish you both all the joy and happiness that my children have given me - just don't tell them I said so or they'll be after a raise. Welcome to happy poverty.

Congratulations!!!! You are now gonna now turn around twice and then he,she,they? will be teenager/s

at which point you will remember Jerry saying;

"what a long strange trip it's been"

rejoice in who they are, and let them be who they are, just let them learn who they should be, show one face to the world and smile every day.

between Char and I we have 7 from 28 to 16(last one still in the house) and my first grand was born last October.

Lead by Example, but Learn everyday with them. and from them.

God Bless,

Glenn

Can't think of a better place to put this - my 12 year old daughter just passed her Grade 4 clarinet exam with Distinction. The examiner noted her "intelligent and sensitive playing."
I tell you John, they can bring you pleasure like nothing on earth.
And, man, can they surprise you.
