Paulcc1,

Thanks for the great news!! You beat me to it. The GREATEST Story ever told. If Jesus played a guitar, I think HE would have played a 1537 Custom elite with "angel wing" Epaulets. (Just a guess though.)

What a joyous day for those of us who believe the Good News! And for all of us who don't know Him yet, my prayer is that we would find Him and receive and receive the life that He died and then rose from the dead to give to us.

What a wonderful Easter Morning! All those people in church left the golf course open for the rest of us. Our service at the church of Callaway was very nice as well. Good day for gators too, saw 7 out sunning.

See? There's something for everybody on Easter.

Of course, now I have to drive my family down to San Diego to my sisters. The traffic's going to be a bear and I don't want to go.

WHen you hit your ball in the woods it's always like an Easter egg hunt, see how many you can find before the group behind you starts yelling. Only found three eggs today and lost one (to the water on 17). Overall plus 2, not too bad.

Thanks Paul!! It's About Jesus, who came and lived a perfect life, died for ALL of our sins, and rose again on the third day, proving that he is the Son of the Living God.

Did you hear the one the preacher who called in sick to go play golf on Sunday? an Michael the archangel made sure he hit Ealges all day long. When he was done, Gabriel asked him why he did that? Micahel said "Who's he gonna tell..."

The Tomb is empty; therefore you may live eternally! Watched The Greatest Story last night and just reaffirmed that there is hope......and I know from the epaulets on certain models of "O's", or angel wings I heard one say once that the angels in God's kingdom must play "O's" rather than any other! God bless you all!

Nice to read that OFC has alot of believers. Lets live the life so that our actions and examples will lead those who do not yet beleive, over to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am not an accomplished player, but I know that my playing is 10 times better when I am up in front of the congregation, even with the butterflies and nerves kickin' in!!

Hope all had a Blessed Happy Easter Weekend

Right now, It because It's just after Easter and we're all "pumped" (If you read the last few verses of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you'd see why). In general, It's the same thing as us posting about great thing on Ebay, or first crack at something new from the factory. It's because we want to share a good thing with our friends and the people we care about, not keep it to ourselves (even though we may try to outbid each other). Only it's more like what you'd get if you went to the Martin Board and did started thread about the OFC Guitar or Ovations on Ebay, And they too would be offended. So the best thing we can do sometimes is show them how great it is to have Ovations in our lives.

I know it's a loose analogy, but please follow me down this path a little further. Imagine if '05 Collectors were freely given by Ovation to those who would believe in them? Would you accept it? What if if it was so good, that you didn't need to play any other guitar ever again? I think this is what drives so many people away from Christianity. Jesus is so good that we don't need anything else. We got it for free, we want everyone to have it too. Only there is only ONE GUITAR. Everything else is a cheap rip off, and many people are throwing there lives (eternally) away chasing things that cannot deliver the goods (be those religion, material posessions, relationships, whatever). The attitude we are supposed to have towards non-believers should make you want what we have (salvation through Jesus), not make you feel wrong for not believing. You know how closed minded some people can be about even picking up an Ovation, when they are looking at Taylors...

I sincerely hope this answers your question, and doesn't make you or anyone else more frustrated.

Very nicely put, Fred. Good job. :D

Dave, I would never belittle your beliefs - well, at least spiritual. No such promises concerning political, musical or anything concerning llamas...

Christianity on the horizontal level is about revealing the news of Christ, through our lives and our mouths, and not about forcing anything on anyone. Rather, the motive is care, as Fred put it so well. When you know something is the best, the truth, you want everyone to have a chance at it.

Your choice is, as always, your choice.

Dave,
Although Paul and Cliff did a marvelous job of trying to take the focus away from your comments and put the attention on you, you deserve an answer.

Responding in this forum will only accelerate the battle that is the basis of your frustration and pops up from time to time on this site. It takes little time to draw lines on this issue and it is all over the very values both sides embrace – the right of free will and choice.

Every one of us has a God. Some are named specifically and some are the ideal that we can choose not to honor a god (this is still a god).

Let’s take it off the board. I will email you and you can tell me to end the conversation any time you like. I will not just harass.

It’s good to ask questions and it is healthy to doubt and wonder.

I’ve always wondered what a Martin D-28 sounds like or if it slides off your knee.

They don't slide off your knee but they do fall over. And when they do, the sound you hear is about 3 or 4 times more expensive and they create 3 or 4 times as many pieces.
