In March, my daughter Kaki was a musical guest on NBC's late-night program Last Call with Carson Daly. She played the song "Magazine" from her second CD and used her Adamas II prototype guitar.

She has been invited back to appear this week (Tues, Wed, & Thurs) as the "house band" for the show. She also appears Thursday as the musical guest closing the show.

The show's musical director wanted her to "go electric" so she will be seen using a red Telecaster (borrowed from a friend). The rest of the band is a drummer friend of hers from New York City. She will go back to acoustic when she closes Thursday night's show.

This show comes on at an impossibly late time--1:30 a.m. on the East Coast. Way too late for me, so if there are any night owls in the OFC, I would appreciate some feedback.

Best to all--

Dave King

Might be a great opportunity for the Hamer folks to do a Custom, Custom for her!

congratulations to you and yours. It's great to watch a career building this way. Especially one built on talent and hard work. You must be very proud of her achievements.

the telecaster thing.

she should definitely be playing a hamer - maybe she should have asked. I was surprised when AdM suddenly appeared with a PRS, does anybody know if he was even offered a Hamer?

Hamer is not Ovation. Somebody hurry up and stick a new Viper in her hands. Dave

Pop,

As a self-designated POC in charge of Artists Relations for the OFC (until I'm fired) I would like to ask two questions:

Six or Twelve?

What's the Shipping address?

Woodster;

PLEASE tell me (so that I can push my testicles down from my thorax) that the bottom of the six string is NOT resting on concrete . . . . .

Michael, that's about as close to a "Godfather" offer as it gets!

How about a one-month "cooling off" period? You are making an incredibly generous suggestion, and I'm sure Kaki would agree that she wouldn't want you to have even the slightest regret.

You are a great example of why I think OFC membership is "as good as it gets."

Thanks--

Dave K.

Uh... thank you all for your kind thoughts. There is air between the instrument and the 40 grit object.

It's the grit on the walls where I hang them I need to watch out for.

Pop, in all seriousness if kaki wants and OFC Loaner just say so! It won't include a "One of these days, I'm gonna ask you a favor" clause. Personnaly I would think of it as "so cool"!

Should I mention that the adjustability of action on these instruments is incredibly flexible. How about that the 12 string sports the Hamer-Seymour Duncan collaborated Phat Cats. In fact the wiring was done by them as well.

The six sports Air Nortons with an HB/non-HB lift switch on the tone knob. The neck is oiled in the style of the Adamas and the Legends. Pickguards ala the "Two Jims".

When is Kaki's birthday?

And if she really likes it maybe they could issue a Hamer Deacon for "06"? (Now my motives are out.)

The fact that I can't play an electric has little to do with it either!

I just love the looks and feel of these guitars and would absolutely love it if someone with talent could light it off and send it screaming!

Now I gotta ask a real dumb question.......What exactly are those two Ovations I see pictured Mr. Woody? I have a couple of 6 string Electrics I am getting quite used to but if I go searching for a 12???? This might be just what I am after.
I like the look of those Ovations, Big Time. Don't think there can be to many pairs of these in one place anymore. Nice photo.

Dave is correct. I am taking the explanation to a new thread because this one is about a talented young lady who is a LOT CUTER than Steve or Cliff (duh!)!

"I just love the looks and feel of these guitars and would absolutely love it if someone with talent could light it off and send it screaming!"

Perhaps I should make my case. I am also a young musican, currently building my carrer through God. I express myself through my music, which means every single song I have ever written contains at least a bit of God in it. This makes for wonderful opportunities to share my faith. This actually happened two days ago when I played a solo show at a local Battle of the Bands. I was able to witness to some people, and a friend of mine was inspired to glorify God through his music instead of himself. It was a really cool experiance!

And although I am a male, my mom says I'm cute, does that count? Both audio clips and photographs can be shown.

You think about it....just don't regret your decision. :)

Mr. Sherman,
How 'bout a little more info about yourself. Where are you located and do you have any of your music posted on-line?
