Hi,

Today i've received some great documents from the early days of our favorites guitars.
In this lot, there was some nice catalogs and a small piece of paper.
This document is surely my favorite in my small collection.
I think it's a rare piece of Ovation History and i'm very proud to share it with you.
Just look a the pic below.

I was not born in 1966!!! I've open my eyes 13 month and 1 day later...

Jérôme :)

Here is another good reason to continue funding the Time Machine Project.
How would you like to attend that event?

I had posted this same invitation a few months back.I have about three more in their original envelope that were mailed out to dealers in 1966 and returned by the post office back to ovation.I opened a couple and have three more still in unopened envelope.I also have an original program from that evening. It is signed by Josh White.I'll try to find it and post it.

Cool stuff. I feel fortunate to still have my instruction manual that came with my 1972 12 string. This was back before the days of, "If you want a manual, download it from our website".

I still refer to that manual. Best instructions on how restring a guitar, especially nylon string.

Jerome, the invitations and program are real treasures. The program was autographed to Arnie.Arnie Lansberg owned Lane guitar center in Manchester Ct..Arnie was there the first evening as a guest and told me the story of that evening. He remembered meeting Josh white and what songs he played.Even though i was not there i had a first hand account of that evening.Arnie also remembers a young Bill Kaman visiting his store many times..

Here is the cover of an article about Ovation, July 1967 by Ct. industry.

My wife was born on this exact day! Don't know the hour of her birth so I'll have to check on that.

13 years, 7 months and 3 days for me. I was in North Dakota at the time. I'm sure that's why I didn't get the invitation. Pony express and all.
