3 hours, one bid and gone. I didn't have time to drool. Those enclosed tuners are real purdy, and cedar just looks soooo nice.

Jeff, check the number on it when you get it....number 50 went to Indiana, I know for a fact....

I played the one that Elderly Instuments in Lansing, MI had....it is absolutely WONDERFUL. Definitely worth a naked frolic..... :D

Roger,
Thanks. I have not yet had any communication with the seller, Stands to reason this could be the very guitar. This makes it a lot easier to send my Uterus in to the shop.

It's easy to do a naked frolic when you live in the woods. It would be more impressive if he did it mid-town....

Jeff, you sneaky SOB! You got it! Congratulations! Those are great great guitars! I would have bought it myself (it's on my short list), but I've gotta keep my powder dry for the OFC'er.

You coming to the gathering next week?

We'll discuss shipping later. I gotta go see about drilling air holes in the 10 gallon drum.

This is getting to be a serious collection Bongo Boy. You'd better hope only honest people know your address. Or start setting the mantraps again....

SWEEEEEEEEET JEFF!!! :)

Congrats and welcome to the club.

I wish all 50 of these beauties could find their way into OFC members homes. Slowly but surely we are cornering the market :D

Man....now you gotta find something else in my collection to lust over (maybe the '87 collectors..what a beaut!)

Now, I just may have to learn to play.

This might do it for me. I wanted the #47 but, with the Uterus, I can't believe #47 will sound any better or appreciably different.

and at the Hotel Catlett Mountain, you can check-in any time you like but, you may never leave.

Stephen.
I'm really sorry I wasn't able to steal your FD 14. I might just do it for posterity. And Thanks. I got these custom strings from England that I know will make mine sound better than yours...

unless of course I'm the one playing it.

Now it's just the agony of waiting for it to arrive!

I am starting to feel the same way about #47 and the OFC guitar. Still have several months to think about it but it will be hard to surpass the FD14 and U681T.

Several months IS a dangerous thing.

and the agony of delivery will be tempered by the fact, I bug-out on Tuesday...will send the Uterus to the factory on Monday... and I won't get home till the following Monday...Hopefully, having made a showing at at-least one OFC Tour event.

"Surpass".

It's the wrong way to look at guitars. Different flavors of ice cream, all good.

Yes....still evaluating but right now I am putting it slightly ahead of the 1537....has a sweeter and more balanced tone versus deeper fuller tone of 1537. Once the newness wears off a better tonal evaluation can be made.

Beautiful sunburst, basically mint (for a 18+ year old git) less a few cracks on the binding that can be seen but not felt and a few very minor marks on top that can only be seen in the proper light and angle. Slight mar on side of headstock but overall excellent/pristine condition.

Stephen, when you're ready to really do a tone evaluation, have somebody come in and play both guitars while you sit 6-10 feet away. That way you can truly hear how the guitars sound.
