well I just got back from my 4 hour drive, my head is pounding and i keep thinking about the past 4 days.

Wow what a good time. I want to personally thank the Kaman folks for treating us like family. You are the Best!!! and I mean that. There could not have been a better day tour or event but I am sure we will top it NEXT YEAR!!!!!!

To all the new friends I made and people I met, thanks for making this event happen, without you, we would not have a fan club.

Some of us were taped for the upcoming DVD, I doubt if they will use anything this mushmouth had to say, but it was fun just being a part of that.

Thanks to all for your kind words on the website, I wish I could make it better but I am not the tech guy, I just have the ideas and have to rely on others to implement them for me.

Just a note about the jam and the hotel jams. What a GREAT TIME!! some of you know that I had a problem with my arm back in January and things were not good for a while. Friday night was the first time that I played guitar for over 30 minutes at a time and I did it without any injury or pain in my arm. In fact I quit at 1 am on Friday night because my left hand was cramping and that is not the one I had surgery on. Now I have to work on getting my chops back. (some of you are saying you never had any chops Al what are you talking about...)

For those who missed it, where else can you go and find a goup of 4 or more guitarists playing, take your axe out of the case, just find a part and start playing and join in. Just Brilliant as templeman would say.

Just a great time, a really great time, I am sure pics will be posted soon and I did see some video.

BTW when I got up on the stage to play the skies opened and it stated to rain, So even God hates my voice and guitar playing. Unfortunately I was dragged out after 10 minutes to do a short set before it started to rain again!!!

thank you

thank you

thank you Everyone

Glad your arm is doing better. Sounds like everyone had a good time. Jamming is always fun. I always find I can learn something from being with other guitarists, especially when most of them are better than me.

I remember watching a golf show and the pro said to play with other golfers who are a little better than you. Hasn't helped my golf game. Maybe next year I can make it to the tour. until then I'll just drool at the cool pics.

Al,
I am working on the video of the jam and the pictures are going out in the mail for processing (film not digital  yeah I know).I am going to send the finished/ or unfinished product to Waskel. He wants to put the factory tour and the jam together. I will keep everyone posted about this work in progress.

Cliff,

I feel so ashamed.
That was good!

AFG - Al yelled at me last year when I asked that question too soon.

Cliff snorting Corona. Not sure if it was his first time, or if it was even worth it.
This was Thrsday night, maybe he was trying to accelerate the entire "prep for the Tour" process.

In self-defense:

I was bent over trying to read the numbers at the heel of the neck. My hand was up to my face to pull down my glasses so that I may peer OVER them (which I unfortunately now need to do to read anything "close").

In confession:

In the lower part of my left hand was the neck of a Corona . . . . . in upper part is a quarter plastic cup of PatronTequila (Silver) . . . courtesy of Master Stonebobbo (with whom I spent MANY frequent stops at various Factory watercoolers with over the course of Friday.

Thanks, Bob! (I think).

My apologies, Cliff.
I was going through my pictures and came upon that one - I couldn't resist.

In any case, it certainly didn't affect Cliff's ability to play, sing and generally entertain.
Pulling off the alto part of Harry Chapin's "Taxi" - in the rain - with the inkjet-printed lyrics all smeared - in the dark - is something we will not soon forget.

Good show, Clifford!

Check with Miles - they took one at lunch, but I'm not sure when or where to get a copy of it.

I have 2 group pictures on film that will be processed soon. Sorry for the low tech. So it may take about 2 weeks for my pictures to be posted.

My camera had a "storage card failure" half way through the tour. I could not take any mor pics but I was lucky enough to be able to download what I had.

I wish you luck. Everytime I start shopping for a new one, about 3 generations of them go by while I'm dithering.

Take a look at the Canon Rebel OES line of digital SLR's.

Take a look at some Nikons. Got my daughter a 5 mega Coolpix at Best Buy for about $250. She's into computers and graphic arts and thinks it's great, so we did good.

Nikon's are great! I bought a 4 megepixel Coolpix a couple of years ago, and haven't touched a regular film camera since. What is really nice is you can see exactly what the picture looks like. If you don't like it, just delete it. Couldn't be easier. :D
