I find it quite amusing with the unique usernames and aliases that are here in the OFC. For that reason, wouldn't it be interesting to inform others how you came up with them? Surely, there are some interesting stories behind them.

I will begin with mine first ...

My ex-roommate in college, who is now my brother-in-law after marrying my sister, is a geologist. From his collection of rocks, he showed me a volcanic item which he simply called "ignimbrite." I liked the appearance of the rock, and the name somehow stuck in my head since. Also, I was a computer newbie back in 1993, and the first PC term I learned was "byte." To make a long story short: ignimbrite + byte = ignimbyte.

Alrighty .... who's next?

Well since I changed my name since then, Captain Lovehandles was created a few years ago for a project by my art club, Cafe DNA. We were all comic book geeks, artists and wanabees, so we did a project with self portraits in superhero style, with names and costumes. Here is the link to the project, if anyone's interested.

Waskel is correct but I like to enjoy the journey more than the arrival! :p

Gov'mt PC's will entertain a plethora of different login's for the many "domains" and most are fairly un-original. First initial/last name is the norm (mwoodford).

In the blink of the eye it took to select my moniker it was just MWoody. I didn't think I'd be hanging around for very long!

Now, for eBay and many other forums (since I've had time to consider it) my login is fishgiven, which comes from Matt 7:7!

ave,
Do you have to put on your glasses to watch 20:20?

Does it takes you an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes?

Do you find yourself watching "friends" alone?

Rainy Day Women #12 & 35

The "official" explanation of how this song got its name: A woman and her daughter came into the recording studio out of the rain. Dylan guessed their ages correctly as 12 and 35.

Yeah, right. That makes sense.
That would make him what, Rain Man?

Initials actually. The first letter of my, my wife's and my daughter's name, and the first of our last. The 4 comes from the fact that our son wasn't born yet, so I didn't know what that letter was. The user name on ebay, and the like, has since changed to include him.

karmanng, as an old friend of Cliff's, I'm sure you must have noticed he has the same ability to do that in person. At work, perhaps. Also at Factory tours.
