Will send with all papers an warrenties,,paid 1200.00 Need to sell, LOW RESERVE YOU can`t beat deal!!!" It is funny how a guitar can be brand new when he already bought the guitar? It can be almost new but not brand new

You can still bid on it and maybe win, but just do so with with the knowledge that you will not get the factory warrenty no matter what the seller says. It still might be a good deal.

I return the VCR and get another one or that one is repaired. Now as far as guitars go, what is really covered by the warranty? The electronics are not, cracks are not. So what does the warranty cover?

The only businesses I can think of, where original owners are not asked, for original recepts, in their name from "Authorized, originating, dealer for no hassle returns or exchanges are Snap-On tools, Sears (Craftsmen), Homie Depo, and Lowes...(Surely more arounfd this big country of ours...) Mercury Outboard Warranties ARE transferrable... to the next owner for the duration of the original owners warranrty period... even including extended warranties... So until Homie Depo starts selling O's, I guess the myth will live on, that warranties are any good to 2ndary guitar owners... I'm sure there are other companies that are tranferrable... but "that" marketing concept seems to be going the way of benifits for people who have worked 30-40 yrs,with a gurantee of bliss, only to find their promised retirement beni's are -> Nadisimo... Once you realize that, you put your own value on a warranty. I bought my 2 month old Std Elite on ebay for $550. I would have paid $850-$950 new. To me the warranty wasn't woth the difference in price...especially taking into account the way Ovation takes care of their customers (and even better care of US in the Fanclub). So compare the price on ebay to the NEW price, and keep in mind you're in the "Inner Circle." John <>{

At any rate, there's a company called AKA - They build markers of outstanding quality, and back it up with a lifetime warranty... They allow it to be transferred from owner to owner - you just gotta pay em a small fee up front (negligable - $25) and you receive the Lifetime service... Just a thought... and it would allow Ovation to keep an interesting database on the flow of their guitars... cheers Mike

It's a shame we live in an atmosphere where people don't feel OK unless they have it in black and white. They offer you a handshake but people shun that, preferring a contract instead. Sorry for my soapbox. John <>{

I'm quite confident that Ovation will stand behind their product regardless of warranty limitations... Last thoughts - the best warranty is the one you never have to use...

I found that out when the plastic tuning knobs on my 1997 Collectors cracked. One call to Kim Keller,(info provided by Mr. Calman) One week later, (the mail is slow), a set of ebony knobs at no charge. Being an OFC member doesn't hurt.

Most high end manufacturers have life time warranty and many follow the rod not the owner. Beyond that, many offer no questions asked coverage. I've broken two $650.00 G.loomis rods (not on purpose and totally my fault) and Loomis replaced them and shipped express for $50.00 dollars each...had it been a workmanship or materials issue it would have been no charge....

I just love talking to my wife about one guy who rebuilds old porsche's ("don't ever start a task that can't be used to justify buying a new tool"), the guy who has 8 different slalom water skis for different "water" conditions. Christ - it's WATER! My neighbor who races off road quads that cost more than my car. The antique gun collector. His CLEANING tools are worth more than my guitars. Now I add serious fly fishers right in there. All you guys are my HEROES! Dave
