No names here so there's no need for embarrassment or false modesty.

There was a time when I would obsess on my inabilites and shortcomings. But times passes and maturity teaches it's lessons. I continue to advance at my own pace with whatever amount of talent I have been blessed with. But when it come down to it, I'm just happy to be here.

I think there are a nice handful of "shredders' here. I have heard a few of them myself.

Yup my face involuntarily contorts when I play. It's something that I've been taunted about all my life, and I was even fired from a wedding reception band because of it!

I can't stop it! HELLLLLLP!!!

 I'm one awful guitarist ... other than the basic ability to fingerpick and play basic chords here and there, I manage to get by. One thing I'm thankful for, at least, is that I can carry a tune when I sing and be able to play a song in its entirety, so I guess that can compensate for the sub-standard guitar work.

Paul, if you put a capo on each successive fret, you can use those same three cord positions to get, like six.

Barr chords are my problem right now. Sometimes they sound good other times they don't. :D

I figure that finger will have to get tougher eventually.

Been working on "Wonderful Tonight". First time for bending notes. It isn't working very well at this time. :(

We don't need no "stinkin barre chords here". We can't even spell them the same!
Just roll your thumb over the top, you can at least play the major and minor of everything up the neck.
I'm just plain lazy, I guess.

I was always told to place your thumb on the back of the neck, not to roll it over the top... guess I don't follow directions very well.
I'm doing OK on basic open chords, except for C.
My wrist just doesn't want to twist in that direction (and fat fingers don't help)!!!

I have noticed that I sound better (to me) on the Adamas and Custom Legend than on my Celebrity CC11. Go figure.

If you didn't have either the Adamas or the CL would you then sound better on the Celebrity? :p

I'll PM you my address so you can send me either the A or the CL. :D

I wish I could get away wrapping my thumb around to make a barr chord. My hand is just not big enough.
