Location: Kilmarnock,Scotland | hello all,new here and from other side of the pond.Long time Ovation player I once stupidly and in a moment of poverty let go a Legend 1117,replaced it with a Balladeer some time on and now have just won this beauty.

I read posts here on the LX guitars and it made me try one out at a city store.I loved it but couldn't afford the price of them new over here in the UK.I was gobsmacked when no one else bothered with the auction so I got her for less than both new Elite and Balladeer Specials go for on UK Ebay.
The fit and finish is top notch and in all truth I am probably playing better these last 3 days-its just so inspiring!Even my mate who hates my Balladeer and avoids Ovations in general thinks the Elite LX is unputdownable.
My singer loves it too - she says it's the coolest acoustic she ever saw and sits in the mix perfect every song.And as she's half the band her opinion matters.
I start gigging the Elite this weekend and I can't wait :)
Anyhow I first read about the LX models here so a big thank you.

Beautiful axe. I have an 1868LX-5 just like it only less round to make up for my more round! Also have a 6778LX-NEB that is just gorgeous to look at and play as well. You will love your Elite even more (I know, hard to imagine) as it breaks in a little and opens up even more. God Bless! |

On the one hand you have a professionally laid out site with lots of apparent retail support on the other you have product descriptions describing how your pockets shouldn't interfere with you package and for those of us with fronts to match our guitar backs, the "Beer Gut Cut"
So after investigating I'm certain that I'm not sure if this is for real. The tiebreaker would've been if they had string tubes in their inventory but lacking that, I'm afraid this just might be a fake site...

Gusetted crotch short/pants like Gramiccis or biking shorts are the only thing I can wear under a harness for flexibility and safety. It would surely suck to have your line fouled by your kilt, or worse... UK does offer their "modesty system" on the survival model. and snaps on the Workman's model for those burely construction guys who wear them up ladders. there's even a pretty funny video.
