I got to bring home my brand new daughter yesterday. I couldn't possibly have had a better Thanksgiving! Her name is Julia and I'm hoping to play my Ovation for her today if I can take my eyes off of her long enough.

Here's some pics:

I'd like to post one of my wife with the baby, but she just had a c-section and would kill me if I posted pictures of her right now, even though she looks awesome.

Congrats, John, to you and Mrs. B. That should make every Thanksgiving just a little more special.

By the way, if you're looking for a special song to play for your new addition, John Lennon's Julia, supposedly written for his mother, could be perfect.

John,
I have a Thanksgiving Day daughter as well. She turned 22 this year. It's a wonderful way to celebrate. Congratulations!

Wow those photo's sure bring back memories of my own when they were tiny!

Guess that beats a new guitar by just a little now don't it!

Ah - the blank stare, the goofy facial expressions, the incoherent mumblings. Good job the baby is obviously much more in control of herself than dad is. And SOOOOO cute. Congratulations - I wish we could turn the clock back, sleepless nights or not.
Congratulations to all 3 of you - fantastic news. :D :D

What a beauty she is... Congratulations! Daughters have a way of bringing out emotions in us guys that we'd have thought ourselves incapable of before. Treasure every moment. :)

Thanks for all of the kind words and well wishes. So far, we're really enjoying being new parents. Who needs to sleep anyway? LOL. Actually, we've been fairly lucky so far. My biggest problem is going to be going back to work the week after next. I'm going to have some serious seperation anxiety. LOL. I played her some soft instrumental fingerstyle stuff on my Legend this morning and got much the same reaction as I get at gigs.........she fell asleep :) The difference is that she didn't down a six pack of Bud Light before donig so.
