| Just been drinking a couple of (small) bottles of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale from the Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico Ca.
Excellent stuff.
"Good" and "American beer" in the same sentence. Who wudda thought? |

Pyramid, Gordon Biersch, Lagunitas, Preservation Ale, Firestone Walker, Anchor Steam, to name a few. Drink all you want ... we'll make more! But IMHO, the folks in the state due north of us can lay claim to the best microbreweries. |

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada | Now here's an engaging topic for discussion. Forget the guitar stuff. I am inspired. Full agreement on the Sierra Nevada; don't think I have ever had a bad one, bottled or draught. My visiting friend from England remarked: "Oh Richard, this beer is simply bursting with flavor" after I ordered his first Sierra Nevada Pale Ale from the barkeep. The Pyramid beers are exceptional, too. Pale Ale is a favorite and if you have never had it, the Apricot Ale is amazing. Another favorite is Acme Pale Ale and IPA, of course, from California brewery, Northcoast Brewing Company. Look for the girl in the red dress with a glass of beer in one hand and a rope in the other. My all-time favorite, though, is Summit Pale Ale, brewed by the Summit Brewery in St. Paul. They don't distribute it nationwide, but if you ever get to the Twin Cities neighborhood, you are in for a treat. Their IPA is splendid, too; they brew a full range of exquisite beers. Finally, a fresh Bass Ale is an awesome thing..............gotta go now. Gonna open one of the Acmes and one of the Ovation cases and play a little.......... |

Location: SoCal | As in Yamhill County (Oregon, such as Sokol Blosser), the area a short drive from Seattle has some nice wineries such as the Chateau Ste Michelle or Columbia Winery.
When I had the 4th Landing Support Battalion (Seattle), we used to go for a few tastings. Course, never saw a Marine settle for a taste. |

Things just got so crazy, plus Mrs. Waskel has developed a case of sciatica that had her in so much pain I had to take her in to emergency for some powerful medications. It was a very up and down weekend, between being with friends and caring for her.
I'm sure we'll get another opportunity to sit down and jam! Which GC? Beaverton? I don't get in that one much, Clackamas is a lot closer for me. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Yes, Beaverton. I can see why a Wabbit wouldn't go there. Nice Custom Elite there. Probably 1999, but $1000 was too much money. Also played a $3100 Rodriguez in their quite room. No Ovations in their little high end room either. |

Location: closely held secret | Naw, the GC's around here never have any in their quiet room. Except when I accidently leave one in there. The Clackamas store carries some Elites and Legends, even have a CL-LX in there right now, but they have so much crap on the floor in front of them you can't get to the wall.
Ah, well. I just now ordered a new laptop, so I don't think there's any new guitars in my immediate future. At least I got a killer deal on that. |
