(apparently it's the bracing) This is still my favourite go-to guitar. So the GC 1627 is probably great too. (Really, has Ovation ever made a bad guitar? Tacky, maybe. But not bad!) | ||

Your 1612 (it's a custom balladeer, not a deluxe balladeer)is a deep bowl and has the X bracing pattern. Different sounds on different guitars. I can understand why you're happy with your custom balladeer. It's a terrific guitar. But has Ovation every built some stinkers? Hell yes. No guitar builder out there has escaped that fate. | ||
