Inspired by the post - "Am I that old?"

It might be interesting to see what age the Ovation products appeal to as well.

I'm in the 46 - 55 group (just) but I'd have a shot at predicting that the 46 - 55 age group (followed closely by the 36 - 45's) is the biggest group.

Or should I re-phrase that to read - 'the most populated group'.

Probably still the 'biggest' group as well.

So far, only 13% (2) over 55...a bunch of puppies dominating the board? Wait a minute, forgot what we were talking about...anyway, I feel young.

A favorite song is Simon's "Old Friends"...

26-35.

Slap bang in the middle, in fact. Hitting 30 in July.

Although when I was 25, I'd been playing Ovations for over 5 years and had 4 of them, so I was tempted to vote lower...

Tony, I guess it's just you, me, and Mike (GGG). We're just "aged" ;)

Com'mon, the rest of you old guys, put your glasses on and vote.

Don't you 3 guys wish you were young like me?
I can't believe in 3 weeks time I'm going to be officially old by OFC rules.

no comment ...

after all, age is only a number and I don't act it even if, sometimes, gets in my wife's nerves. Besides, when I'm at work, my colleagues tell me that they see another child, especially when I'm with the child(ren). :) I take it as a compliment :)

Once again I'm in the majority for what its worth.

I believe the ability to spend, play and sit at the PC is a right reserved for semi empty nesters.

I'm 56 years young. Still play out 2 to 3 times a week, work a 40 hour a week day job, and teach 12 hours of English and Writing classes a week at a local college.

In between I write and work on solo and band CDs, and sometimes I sleep - a schedule that would, I daresay, crush even some of the young whippersnappers around here.

I can't do anything about growing old, but nobody says I have to grow UP!

As one-time hometown favorite Pete Rose once said, "How can they say I've lost a step? I was never that fast to begin with!" :D

Just wear a hat, and don't tell people that the J. Geils Band played at my high school, quit snivelling about missing Woodstock, Don't tell them which war you were protesting...
Everyone will think I'm 27. (Right!)

Another interesting poll would be how long have you been playing ovation guitars. And then another one would be how long have you been playing the guitar.

Looks like a number of people here should be asking Ovation for AARP or senior citizen discounts.....

I'm a bit older than Steve and over a year until I hit the 55 and over old fart group. I don't feel as old as I did yesterday.

In comparing notes with some of you I see the following trends:

- Learned to play as a teen because guitar was cool.
- Got married and had babies in early twenties and sold or stashed guitars.
- Kids are moving out and spare time/money flows back in.
- Need something to occupy my time and keep me out of Momma's hair!

That pretty much nails it, Mike, except I didn't have kids till I was 30.
