The U681T 6-str now has a 12-string version. Only SIX, probably won't last 48 hours. Plenty of positive comments about the 6-str Ute. This has to be a "boomer".

Don't wait, contact Al or I may buy what hasn't been sold.

Correction, there's not 6 available! One is already in transit to AZ. Not sure how many are left, but Tony is right these will not last long. Dave

Paul, You could never warm-up to the 6-string version... what makes you think you'd like the 12?

I don't know. As great as the U681 is and as wonderful as the 12 string version probably sounds, I just like to be able to get up higher on the neck (like those classic Supertramp and Yes tunes).

For me, a 12 needs to either have 14 frets to the body or be a 12 fret cutaway (like my Baxendale).

I am sure after I hear and play one of these babies, I will regret these remarks and wish I had grabbed one but that's how I feel without taking one for a spin.

Fair enough Paul... maybe Al can ship Tony's down here with mine, I'll pick out the one I like, and you can hold on to Tony's as long as you want.

When you are done, you can pass it over to Fred and when he's done...

Everyone has different playing styles (and a cutaway isn't a bad idea such as my non-slothead 6759CL) but the shiny bowl, Pacemaker, the GC, and the 1658 Custom Legend are 12-fret, non-cutaway slotheads that are great playing 12's. Combining the innovation of the slothead UTE and creating a 12-string, may even excel over my Adamas I and II.

And, when was the last time you saw a slothead textured top Adamas for sale...would have to have been the couple made as original or a custom job. If you found one, you could buy a new car for what the guitar would cost.

You would not only have the only one on the block to have one, maybe the only one within one day's driving distance.

I've got 2 acoustic 12's and a Preacher Deluxe 12. The acoustics are an Adamas I and a recently rebuilt GC 12 string. There's not a lot on a 6 that I can't play on a 12 (hey, when you're only talking 3 chords.....). If I had to pick pure acoustic sound, the Adamas I ("Big Blue") would win hands down. But the GC 12 has a great sound to it and I love the neck.

Flavors of ice cream and I love them all. They all have their time and place.....

Blues and I will ship them on when it gets warmer. Like about July.......... 2010. :D

That U681-12 looks AMAZING. Mr. UPS says he'll be visiting me on Friday. One guitar, a few pizza boxes, and other assorted junk. I can't wait. Dave

does the fraction on the headstock of the six-stringer, 1/12, mean that this guitar is #1 of 12 made?

How many OFC guitars did you expect to be built? :)
